Ya know Zosia saying the first month of the Joining was very peaceful is interesting considering we are fully aware that The Joining started with a rat biting a woman’s finger (violent and painful) and then multiple counts of nonconsensual kissing. The Joining was never peaceful. It started with physical assault, continued onto sexual assault, and then turned in a mass death event. But the hive doesn’t acknowledge those first counts of violence. They only acknowledge the mass death. Which they say. Was necessary to bring on the best thing to ever happen to the human race so as long as the deaths were mourned it’s fine. The hive is extremely conflict averse but they never seen to acknowledge the actual damage they cause in their quest for peace.
