said materials: cheap ass sketchbook from Michael's, fancy new alcohol markers, the page in my tiny notebook I scribbled on to test the colors, post-it notes, two issues of a science magazine from 2018 that I re-read cover-to-cover first, a promotional poster from work, brown paper from a package I got in the mail, .45mm black micron pen I found while sorting markers for my local art thrift store, sharpie, stardust and dreams and suchlike

Super messy and super late zine for @zinebash !! I’ve been wanting to try making little stamps like this for ages and the print theme for August was kind of the kick in the pants I needed to actually do it. Turns out carving clean lines into rubber is HARD but I had fun and I’m going to try actual lino next :3

My local secondhand art supply store had these micron pens for cheap so I decided it was time to learn how to use them! It’s a bit of a challenge for me— the only medium I am actually trained in (a little) is pencil/charcoal and I usually work with things I can erase or otherwise edit. You can probably see that I’m still doing pencil sketches first. I’m starting to feel better about the pens, though!
