Upon reading the prompt for this assignment, I had the immediate idea to create images that portrayed the government and warfare in a unique type of way. I feel that I was definitely successful in doing this with my three images. My first image is made up of elements that show war being around us from the very beginning. A baby looks onward into a field of innocent beings, taking part in activities that coincide with practices of war. The children play with waters guns, the girl throws a water balloon, and the puppies battle. These all show exactly how young we are introduced to the idea of war and violence. My second image shows President Barack Obama looking into an art gallery that is designed around his life, his presidency, and his overall lifestyle in our government. The main picture in the gallery is one that I spent a lot of time on creating. It shows a herd of elephants running into a herd of donkeys, representing the constant battle between Democrats and Republicans. The main idea of this image is to show how many intricate details are associated with the government, especially with our president. My final image is a very simple image. It shows President Barack Obama leaning back in his office chair, overlooking a painting of the destroyed Capital Building. I specifically colored that painting red to show the contradiction of beliefs among Democrats and Republics, and how it will lead to the overall downfall of our government. A common theme of showing individuals from behind is used in my work, as I strove to show that we all observe these things happening and there is nothing we can do to change it. These images are straightforward, but they hold a much deeper message within them.

   Coming into this project, I had never even used Photoshop before. Once I got the hang of it, these pictures just started to fall into place. All three of my images have a very similar theme to them; the power of dreams, the goal of life, and personal struggle. In my image of the past you can see me sleeping at a computer, and many other unique elements that have deeper meaning behind them. The lockers show a different take of high school, the alien represents finding oneself, the cards show how ladies dominate your life around this time period, and the money obviously shows my lack of it at this time. My present image shows me in a college lecture hall. The man next to me is losing his mind over his college experience, while I dream about what is to come. You can also see a joker in the back of the classroom, which symbolizes my lifestyle in college.  Lastly is my future image, which shows a more unique twist on the inside of a briefcase. It is a collage made to show that even though I will be grown, I will always keep my imagination alive. Throughout these pictures, you can observe the progression of my location, the playing cards, and the money. These are here to represent growing up and progressing through life in a less harsh type of way. This project was a mixture of deep, emotional, and fun. I hope you like what you see!
