We are bewildered. We look to the sky where clouds once reigned but see grey

I’m a boring man I stay home and read my world Is all that I need

With roses in hand She throws me a look that shows me that I’m her man

Let’s make one thing clear We have no idea as to why we’re all here

A beggar and priest Funny how they both end up on their knees and feet

I’ve got it real bad I want the beauty of this world to make me mad

This road I walk on. It’s bumpy, I admit, but look at the flowers

I hear the chatter I smell coffee’s aroma A sweet reminder

My soul’s on fire The summer heat ignites a flame winter put out

Her imperfections They are the very things that I fell in love with

Our groggy kisses With eyes barely open we find each other’s lips

My melancholy I have waves that wash over me as they so please

Eventually, yes. Sooner than later we’ll be washed away by time

There’s so much to do There’s so much to see but still not enough for me
