how tall are you?

4′10 1/2 in, or ~148 cm, I think.

what color and style is your hair?

Dark-ish brown, but it kiiind of looks like it has hints of red in the sunlight. Hard to describe. It’s not styled, I just let it do whatever or put it up in a bun twist. 

what color are your eyes?

Green

do you wear glasses?

Yeah, they’re rectangular style with red frames. I don’t really like them, because they’re a little too wide for my face and I was hoping to get a pair in black, but the selection was pretty limited for plastic frames(Anyone who has experienced the hell of wire frames, I support you.) and these were my best option with my face shape.

do you wear braces?

No, but I desperately need them. I’m hesitant to get them now that I’m an adult, because I already get mistaken for a child enough due to my height and baby face, so I’m pretty sure braces would make it even worse trying to explain that, yes Karen, I am an adult. I wish I could’ve gotten them as a teen, but oh well, the joys of growing up poor.

What clothes I like: American 1940′s style vintage or decently done vintage inspired women’s clothing and business goth. 

What I actually wear: My 1 pair of jeans and a random t-shirt. Usually non-printed.

where are you from and where do you live now?

I’m from the US, born and raised. Specifically, I’m from Michigan, that bit near the top on the right hand side that looks like a mitten. There’s also the chunk above the mitten that’s the upper peninsula, but fuck the UP, you guys are part of Wisconsin! I would either have to take a boat or drive through Wisconsin to get to you! The UP doesn’t even fucking touch the rest of Michigan, you people are either Canadian or from Wisconsin! *deep breath* ...sorry, I have a lot of feelings about the UP...

what school do you go to?

The school of shame and disappointing your family.

what kind of student are you?

Depressed, stressed, and never knowing rest. These are the ingredients that make the most incompetent student in the world.

do you like school?

I’ve liked aspects. For the subjects that caught my interest, I usually pulled A’s and B’s, for the subjects that didn’t, a D felt special. So, I liked the classes that made me happy, and I liked some of my teachers, but everything else was horrible.

Constantly changes.

favourite tv shows?

I don’t really watch shows anymore. All the ones I loved at the beginning just kinda fizzled out. I guess  The Great British Bake Off is still pretty fun to watch.

Carrie, by Stephen King. 

favourite past time?

Making a fool of myself on the rare and glorious occasion that I actually have the house all to myself. Nothing feels better than the freedom to be weird outside of your room.

A lot, and I shall tell you none of them.

dream job?

Something that isn’t completely emotionally draining and can financially support me well enough for me to pursue a side career as a writer. 

would you ever like to be married?

No. I’m aromantic and marriage is just not something I think I could be comfortable with, considering I don’t even have the desire to pursue a relationship in the first place.

would you like kids?

Fuck. No. I hate kids, I can’t handle being around them. I’m as nice as can be to kids, I do my best to act interested in what they’re saying/doing, I encourage them as best I can, but every second I spend around one is excruciating to say the least. The fact that I’m not a dick, though, makes anyone who sees me interacting with one look like I revived their great great grandmother just to slap her across the face when I tell them I don’t want any.

A month or so ago, I finally felt up to trying out some new things I hadn’t done before, so I decided to use some old fabric I had to make a set of pajamas. For the bottoms, it’s just your basic high waisted pants. Although, I did make the pattern by trying out Walkercolours’ method she showed in her doll tights video. The main thing is the shirt. For the shirt I used MyFroggyStuff’s lab coat tutorial. She used the same method for her Doctor Who custom, so I figured it wouldn’t be hard to translate it into a pajama top. I pretty much followed the instructions step-by-step, except that I made the opening curved and had to make a couple of changes at the end. I cut a T shape on the fold, using the doll for size reference. Then I cut up the middle of the front panel and cut away the pieces at the top at an angle and rounded off the back of the collar. After that, I lined up another piece of the same material right sides together and sewed up one side of what would turn into the front opening and around the neckline, then down on the other side, cut up the middle of the front and around the collar again, turned the piece of fabric in, then sewed along the edges of the bit of fabric to keep it secure, them I hemmed the bottom edges of the front and back panels and the sleeves. Once that was finally done, I made a small rectangle for the collar and sewed it on the neckline, starting in the middle to be sure it was placed properly. Then I was able to sew up the side seams and try it on for size. The sides were puckering strangely, so I cinched the back, and the lapel and collar both needed to be sewn down to keep them in place. For the lapel, I sewed along the edges until about a centimeter away from the bottom, so it wouldn’t look too stiff. I only sewed the collar at the very back just to hold it down. Then I attached and sewed the velcro and buttons on, and voila! It’s done!
