Tegoshige totally irrelevant (but terribly sweet) convos
I’ve been reading some recent interviews and there were parts that clearly stood out. Not just the usual dumb jokes and fooling around but Tegoshi’s very persistent compliments to Shige, both relevant and not.
S: It’s a song with a similar feeling to Full Swing. Tegoshi-san also said he liked it so I’m as happy as can be.
T: Yes, I like this song.
Um, it’s a NEWS song, not a solo. What even is this convo?
K: Hikari no Shizuku came about from Shige writing a book and then it being made into drama which allowed us to sing the theme song.
T: Yes. So when the staff thought about breaking down the lyrics, I told them “The intro and the chorus should be Shige’s, right?” With that in mind, I though it’s a song where the melody and the lyrics get to you the moment you hear it and sang it with feeling. I couldn’t wait to sing it.
T: But Shige also had a good expression (apart from himself). Fooling around with he dog.
S: Really? But filming with an animal was hard. (laugh) It wasn’t moving as it was supposed to.

Tegoshi then proceed to make fun of Massu’s scene.
T: Also in “comprehensive ranking” there were people who scored better than me, but actually I’m totally more popular then them. Apart from Shige. (Shige scored better)
S: You honestly only extracted me. Though I can’t understand if this is kindness or something else. (laugh)
T: Well, I thought here it was better not to compete with he members.

Yeah, sure. I can’t even hate him for being the asshole that he is when he’s so sweet to Shige.
