location: the brew
open to all
she sat there, pen in hand, journal open in front of her as she tapped the pen against her temple. back and forth… back and forth… she could have been up in her room, but really she kind of hated the silence the room brought when she sat up in there alone. there were two projects on her mind, one for the circle, which she could easily pan out a plan, and she had plenty of time, and another as stevie, which… had no plan, and nearly no time left. she inhaled sharply, closing shut the empty pages and wrapping her hands around the warm coffee mug.
her eyes raised as she could sense someone taking the seat across from her, a friendly, effortless smile crossing her face.
amber decided to get to know the town a little better, so she set her sights on the first building she saw: the brew. it smelled a lot like her mother’s bakery, as roxanne would often make croissants and other pastries before amber woke up for school so she could have one before she was sent to the bus stop every morning. the memories came flooding back, and she found herself wandering around the dining area before just plopping a seat into the first empty chair that her fingers wrapped around.
coming out of her daydream, she noticed the woman sitting across from her, staring at her with a smile on her face. “oh, hi, i’m amber,” she greeted with a voice as silky smooth as butter, holding out her hand for the other girl to shake, “and you are?”
