SHE LOVES CONTROL

i’ve been breaking hearts a long time and toying with them older guys, just playthings for me to use // i used to switch out these kens, i’d just ghost, rip the bandaid off and skip town like some asshole outlaw, freedom felt like summer then, on the coast // i think he knows he better lock it down or i won’t stick around cause good ones never wait // i was supposed to sweat you out in search of glorious happenings of happenstance on someone else’s playground // knew i was a robber first time that he saw me, stealing hearts and running off and never saying sorry // and the old men that i swindled really did believe i was the one // this is how the world works, you gotta leave before you get left //

honestly one of the best things i’ve done for my mental health is start writing down the nice interactions I have and nice things other people do for me daily. it trains your brain to notice things like that and how people can be good and go out of their way to help people and that they consider you worthy of being kind to. I have a lot of love for other people and myself nowadays
