at 3 AM exactly you told me that you no longer loved me, i went to bed that night and cried myself to sleep, repeating to myself that i don’t need your love in order to love myself.. a couple months later my heart was still broken, but i was learning to love the parts of myself that were no longer good for you. i was learning to embrace myself more, and that my dear, was beautiful. i learned that your love did not define me and i was capable of so much more. a year later you barely even cross my mind. of course occasionally i wonder to myself if you’re okay and if you found someone to make you happy, but regardless i am still happy. i can honestly say that you no longer loving me was the best thing that could of ever happened to me. thank you for helping me love the parts of myself that i once through were ugly.
