Reflection:

It is hard to change what you see wrong in the world when people think it is “normal”. As a Christian, it is a challenge for us, what can we contribute to this world? How can we correct that wrong mindset of that “normal” thingy.

Once you accept Christ in your life and commit yourself to Him. You have to give up all those worldly things and to stop pleasing the world. - Easy to say than done. Right? Yea. Right.

To some Christians it may be easy to do, but to others it takes a long time before they could actually do it, there are hindrances that is stopping them to grow and to mature and be fruitful.

What are those hindrances???

FEAR and DOUBT.

You fear what people would think and say to you when they notice the changes that you are now, different than they knew before. - called over familiarity.

You doubt if you can really change, it you can finish what you been started. If you can go on being this new you.

Because when people new that you are a Christian or new believer its either you’ll be an inspiration to them or they’ll persecute you. - Waiting for you to commit mistakes. - Watching every move you make.

But expect this, because you chose God over them. The world will gonna hate you (John 15:18-19). The world will make you feel like an outcast. It is okay that they hate you when you know your with other Christians but what if you’re alone? surrounded by them? that’s when you feel the fear and doubt and decided you’ll just be one of them at the same time being a servant of God. Which is a big no no..

Remember (Matthew 6:24), you can’t serve two at the same time. You need to choose one only, whom you’ll serve. God or the World? If not God, then you can’t be His servant (Galatians 1:10).

This is hard if you in yourself are in doubt and fear and confused. But when your heart and mind is in to God. Your all attention to God, choosing is not difficult for you, because you know deep inside whom you’ll want to serve forever. :)

To whom it may concern

Open letter ng isang babaeng nagmahal lamang.

Ang gusto lang naman niya iparamdam na mahal ka niya, at nandito lang siya naghihintay kahit minsan napapaisip siya na possible pa ba kaya maging kayo ulit. Kahit na alam niya na sa gitna ng paghihintay niya di maiwasang magkagusto ka sa iba. Pero umaasa padin siya kahit masakit isipin na nagawa mong magkagusto ng iba, na minsan nawala yung nararamdaman mo sa kanya at napunan ng iba, pero di niya magawang isumbat sayo yun kasi sino nga ba naman siya sayo ngayon? - “friend/Ex” mo na lang.

Pero hindi niya alam, na etong pagmamahal na iniingatan niya para sayo siya din pala magdudulot o magdagdag ng bigat ng kalooban na nararamdaman mo, na bawat pagpapahayag niya ng pagmamahal sayo guilt naman ang nararamdaman mo kasi nahihirapan ka maging faithful sa nararamdaman mo para sa kanya.

Siguro, dapat na talagang matigil yung nararamdaman niya para sayo. Hindi naman nadin na malinaw ang lahat. Baka nga one-sided na lang ang nararamdaman niya. Baka iba na tinutukoy mo at hindi na siya. Pero kung para nga sa kanya yun eto lang masasabi niya...para sa ikakabuti ninyong dalawa. Mabuti pang maging PAST na lang ang lahat. Hanggang doon na lang. Wag na lang marahil ipagpatuloy pa.

Yung ang dami kong gustong gawin. Gusto ko talagang gawin. Kaso, hindi ako makaalis sa comfort zone ko. - struggling.

Nakakatamad. Lagi na lang nakakatamad. Buti pa ang isip ko kumikilos, buti pa sa mga pagtutulala ko, pag da-dayream ko ang dami na nangyayari. Pero sa reality.... - WALA.

Unorganized. Undisciplined. - MY LIFE. MY COMFORT ZONE.

Pakikipaglaban sa sarili ko ang pinakamahirap na battle sa lahat. Hindi makasundo ang isip at ang katawan. Parehong may sariling mundo.

Change. napakadaling i-type. napakadaling sabihin. Pero ang hirap gawin.

SLEEP PARALYSIS

What is sleep paralysis? (for those who doesn’t have any idea what is that or no experience or maybe you already experience it but you don’t know what is - you might relate it to a ‘nightmare’. - but it isn’t a nightmare.)

Sleep paralysis is a phenomenon in which a person, either falling asleep or awakening, temporarily experiences an inability to move, speak, or react. It is a transitional state between wakefulness and sleep, characterized by muscle atonia (muscle weakness). It is often accompanied by terrifying hallucinations (such as an intruder in the room) to which one is unable to react due to paralysis, and physical experiences (such as strong current running through the upper body).

So that is the definition of sleep paralysis. - now you know *winks*.

I just want to share to you my experience to this sleep paralysis. Most of them experience it just once. (Lucky to you guys!) but for me??? - MOST OF THE TIME.

Base on my research, they are 2 major classifications of sleepy paralysis; isolated sleep paralysis (ISP) and the significantly rarer recurrent isolated sleep paralysis (RISP). ISP episodes are infrequent, and may occur only once in an individual's lifetime, while recurrent isolated sleep paralysis is a chronic condition, and can recur throughout a person's lifetime. RISP episodes can last for up to an hour or longer, and have a much higher occurrence of perceived out of body experiences, while ISP episodes are generally short (usually no longer than one minute) and are typically associated with the intruder and incubus visitations. With RISP the individual can also suffer back-to-back episodes of sleep paralysis in the same night, which is unlikely in individuals who suffer from ISP.

So, I’m under the RISP then. *smh* *face palm*

Around 2:58 AM when I woke up, before that I had a 30 mins. sleep when sleep paralysis occurred. Did you already watched the movie Insidious? well, I’ll say that the feeling is like that. The only difference is that I don’t see other people with me (the are instances - rare. - but I know them). I will wake up in my dream, same room. I can’t move. But I can speak.

There are times that I can move then suddenly, there is someone holding me that I can’t move my hands and arms. Then it just pinned me on my bed. I know. I’m aware that it was just a dream. But it taking me time before I could really wake up. To go back to reality. I sometimes, shakes my head to wake me up. And shout. Calling out the names of my family. - my mom or my aunt. Or just shout. Just to know If could really hear vividly my voice. Because when I hear my voice vividly I woke up. I’m back again. When I go back to sleep. It will occur again. Sometimes its hard to battle with that someone you can’t see that is making you paralyzed. I wanted to give up. But if I stop on trying to move and wake up what will happen? then I’ll just pray. pray. and pray. I got strength to fight and wake up again.

TIP:

If you are under RISP my tip for you so you can avoid to experience it is just before you sleep PRAY. Then, put on your earphones. volumes up. Then play your favorite playlist. until you have a good sleep :) its effective! I always do that at night. It is my lullaby.

In my opinion. Listening to music could calm you brain. Because for me, it is on the brain. Because we think and worry a lot.

The reason why...

Why even I study for our quiz, I still flunk?

Reflection:

Me getting flunk was not because my effort was not enough. But rather I didn’t include God.

I want to pass, not to impress God but to impress them. I’m just thinking of myself. Just “M-E” without “G-O-D”. I want to make an impression to them that I’m not just a nobody but a somebody. I pray before the quiz, but God is sensitive. He knows what my heart really desires.

During the exam; I panicked. Excited-Nervous. I fret! I lost my focus! Even though I know how to solve it. I messed up.

“This is how it will be with anyone who stores up things to himself but is not rich toward God” (Luke 12:16-21 NIV)

Countdown

She’s excited for that event. Since the start of summer. And since the organizer of that event posted the date. She want to be a part of it. She want. She really love to be a part of it. But something happen. And she can’t come anymore. she’ll be missing the fun. And she was sad.

Hindi kami close. But were friends. Unting time lang napagsamahan namin nun nung tiga AdU pa siya. Pero nung nag transfer na siya, although were friends. I didn’t expect na na-value niya pala yung ganung namuong friendship namin. At nakakaalala siya mag pm sakin. Nakakatuwa lang. Kasi yung mga least expected mong people na aalala sayo. Yun pa pala yung nagpapahalaga sayo. At naiisip ka i-pm.
