On the continent of Prodesto there are two countries: Raide and Orviska. However, because the rulers of both countries have their hands full governing the area immediately surrounding the capital, cities such as Corsius and Astec are separate, independent cities run by wealthy merchants.  Traveling between cities is incredibly dangerous, so the main mode of transportation for merchants is a phynx-drawn cart.
