Anybody can feel good when they have their health, they bills are paid, they have happy relationships Anybody can be positive then, Anybody can have a large of vision then Anybody can have a lot of faith under those kind of circumstances The real challenge of growth, mentally, emotionally and spiritually Comes when you get knocked down It takes courage to act Part of being hungry when you’ve been defeated It takes courage…. To start over again

Take a shower, wash off the day. Drink a glass of water. Make the room dark. Lie down and close your eyes. Notice the silence. Notice your heart. Still beating. Still fighting. You made it, after all. You made it, another day. And you can make it one more. You’re doing just fine.

something has gone wrong or maybe something has just gone. he loved you and then he didn’t and now you are left to practice distance in small ways. you take the long route to school, circle your car through the streets to avoid that one. you make your bed in the morning then spill coffee on your shirt. if it burns, it only burns for a moment. something has gone wrong and you are not being brave about it. you are so loud in your aching and no one can look. you run quickly from one thing to the next because the space in between is horrifying. the space in between is quiet. there is a better way to live through this but you don’t know that yet. you aren’t that girl yet, the one who can live through something like this so you’re just dragging yourself around until the day that you are. my god, you look so tired and small. my god, you look so haunted. there is a better way to live through this but you’re living and for now, that’s enough.

Let’s have the conversations we’re not having. 
Let’s talk about why we don’t talk. 
Let’s tell each other what we’re really thinking. 
Let’s lay out our hurts. Our hang-ups. Our hearts. 
Let’s admit our failures and ask each other’s forgiveness. 
Let’s show each other who we really are and see if there can still be an us after that.
