To say Chris had been nervous was an understatement. He was still navigating life as a single man, trying to figure out how to date once again. When you had spent so long with just one person, it was daunting to get back into the game. While he wouldn't let her know it, Chris was grateful to have Kendall helping him out. Even though most of the women, she had picked out, didn't work out from the start. Maybe Chris was being too picky. Maybe he wasn't giving them the change they deserve. But, when the actor first met Elsa, he knew right from the start and now he was chasing that feeling once again.
Of course Chris knew of Vanessa. The pair were now hanging around in the same circles. They were even just filming the same movie, despite not really engaging together. When Kendall had given Chris her number, he had hesitated to reach out. It was no secret that Vanessa was an incredibly beautiful woman. But was she who Chris was looking for? What if this was just a waste of both of their time? Despite all of the doubts, Chris had offered to travel to New York for a date. He had landed only a few hours before the time they had agreed to meet.
Chris had booked a table at a lavish restaurant, that Kendall had recommended. While Chris now spent a lot of time in America, he was still learning where all the best establishments were. Chris had arrived a little early, waiting by the entrance. As soon as Vanessa had walked in Chris was smitten. All it took was a simple 'hi' from the blonde and Chris finally got that feeling back.
Dinner had gone great. Maybe a little too great as the pair moved to the bar next door. Chris left Vanessa at their table as he went to buy their drinks. Only a few minutes later and he came back, placing a glass in front of her. "Here you go," he sat down next to her, placing his own beer down in front of him. "I hope I'm not keeping you out too late, do you have work in the morning?" @nessakiirby
