"I think there’s an even slighter chance of you being struck by lightning on a ferris wheel than you do of it breaking or of being struck anywhere else."  Winnie followed her into the cart and sat down, pulling the safety bar across their laps just before the ferris wheel started to move.

"So we're safe, right?" She asked as she looked over at him. Vanessa looked over the side of the cart and grabbed his wrist. "This thing goes up high, doesn't it?" She turned to face him. "I think I'll just keep looking at you instead of over..."

"Oh, it’s not so bad. You’ve got more of a chance of getting struck by lighting than you do dying on a ferris wheel." He said, shrugging his shoulders as he watched the ride attendant open the gate and let them in. He moved aside and motioned for her to go ahead. "Ladies first." He quipped, giving her a smile.

"So I might get struck by lightning on the ferris wheel then, watch that happen." She shook her head and laughed. Vanessa hesitantly stepped into the cart and sat down quickly. "Thank you." She smiled back and looked down at her hands nervously.

Vanessa looked up from her phone and smiled when she saw the blond boy. "Hey you." She smiled and crossed her arms across her chest. "Are you ready to get on this thing? This thing that could quite possibly give out at any second. This thing that gets up high in the sky and you'd probably die from if you fell out... Sorry... Just a little nervous about ferris wheels." She laughed uneasily.
