Elizabeth harvests the money trees every time. She's doing much better than she was. They can afford groceries without trouble now, and even upgrade a few more things.

They have actual beds now, for instance. And there's an extra just in case someone needs it.

Liem and Delara have their own little room with a double bed, of course.

They got a few mirrors. The one near Ezra's bed gets the most use.

Elizabeth: Violeta knows you're seeing other girls, right?

Ezra: Yeah. She told me she doesn't want to see anyone else, but she's cool with me dating other people.

Elizabeth: Uh-huh.

Ezra: What?

Elizabeth: I hope it doesn't blow up in everyone's faces.

Ezra: Nah, we'll be fine.

Elizabeth had time to take a breath, so she invited Raija over.

Elizabeth: I know this place is a dump, but someday I'm going to have a gorgeous house, I promise.

Raija: I don't care about things, you know that. But um, will it be a big house? Room for lots of kids maybe?

Elizabeth: Room for anything you want.

Ezra: Hey, want to come downtown?... Nothing special, it's just a hangout, I thought you might be interested.

Ezra: I'm happy you could make it, Angel. Did you have any trouble finding the place?

Angela: No. I've never been to a neighborhood like this. It's exciting!

Ezra: There are some roses among the thorns.

Ezra: About time for you to be getting home, isn't it?

Angela: Jeez. You care more about my curfew than I do.

Ezra: You've got a good mom. You don't want to worry her.

Angela: ...yeah, I guess.

Violeta has started a garden. It took a really long time for it to produce anything, since the soil was so bad and she didn't know what she was doing. (I didn't know what I was doing, actually. You need sun lamps if you put a garden under a ceiling, even if the rest is exposed. The more you know!)

Liem's connection sent a couple over to help the kids with homework. They were happy to oblige, as they are both nerds.

Ezra and Violeta do not have the flu. It's fine; Elizabeth's hooked everyone up with necessities from the clinic where she works. And she nags them about it constantly. Which is some sort of supervision, anyway.

Homework is proving a massive pain. None of them had decent parents who taught them how to do it.

On top of which... great. Well, Ezra and Delara brought home money from reaching the top of their teen careers (Slacker and Music, respectively), so we can deal with it.

This is now Delara and Liem's new room. Delara also has the flu, of course.

So, the teens in the Abandoned Warehouse. Left to right: Elizabeth Nichols, Delara Darzi, Violeta Garnett, Ezra Sevilla (the one who moved in first), and Liem Nguyen.

I spent a long time with them. They're broke, they have school, all but Violeta have part-time jobs, they need to have social lives... it's a lot. And it's been difficult to figure out how to write up. I can post pictures, in any case.

Randall: Jackie, you get more gorgeous every day. Every minute.

Jackie: Randy, you are so full of shit.

Randall: Sure, but never with you. You're my rock. And so breathtaking. I get tongue tied just looking at you.

Jan: So, just curious, you're not afraid of the risk to your career?

Randall: What's life without risk?

Jan: ...and your marriage?

Randall: Jackie'll never find out. Do you care that I'm cheating on her?

Jan: Nope. She's got nothing to do with me.

Randall: So, that was fun. Maybe I'll call you.

Meeting with constituents. At the Notell Motel. He's here to meet someone else, but he saw this woman and couldn't resist hitting on her.

Randall: Jan, gorgeous as ever. I've been thinking of you for weeks.

Jan: Mm-hm, I've heard that before.

Randall: I'm sure you hear it all the time because it's true. Ready to go up to the room?

Sylvia: How much more of this do I have to do?

Jackie: You've only got one more page for the extra credit, don't you?

Sylvia: Yeah, but I'm so sick of it!

Jackie: Push through.

Randall: Hey gorgeous, how was your day?

Jackie: Fine, but Sylvia's not very happy. She had a lot of homework.

Randall: I'll cheer her up. And I'll get back to you later.

Sylvia: Ugh!

Randall: Don't get frustrated. Practice'll make perfect.

Sylvia: Are you gonna help me practice more tonight, Dad?

Randall: A little. I can't for much longer, though -- I have a meeting with some constituents.

Sveta: It's so great to see this old place fixed up! I've walked out here a lot, but never expected to find someone living here. Let alone a woman who's great at chess!

Anabela: Thanks. I'm glad you came by -- Bigg City was starting to feel like a sausage fest.

Anabela: He's been totally confused ever since! I thought it was pretty clear I was calling him immature, but he just does not get it.

Sveta: Well, what I've heard about Duncan Huckleberry... he's not the brightest star in the constellation, you know?

Anabela and Komei had a good night and early morning before he had to split for work. I made him very hairy -- I think it suits him.

Anabela: Hi Duncan... Nah, I don't need to be set up, I just met someone... Yep, it's serious... I guess when you know, you know. Or, well, I do.
