SMILF (Straight Men I’d Like to Friend) Comedy Show Join your hosts stand-up comedians and noted homosexuals Wonder Dave and Marcus Williams as they try to find out just what is going on in the minds of heterosexual men in SMILF: Straight Men I’d Like to Friend!

Each show Wonder Dave and Marcus will gather some straight male performers to showcase their craft and then they’ll interview the boys to find out why they have decided to take the deviant life path of heterosexuality.  BUT because we have no interest in running a show that only showcases Straight men we’ll also be bringing you an amazing female spotlight performer! This month we’ve got the hilarious stand up comedy of Clara Bijl!

This show is a fundraiser for Books Inc., and book launch for Maggie Tokuda-HallAbout this EventIt’s a tough time for local bookstores, what with the social distancing and the sheltering in place. So we’re raising funds to help local Bay Area bookstores stay in business, with a series of fundraisers. This event will be a discussion between Charlie Jane Anders, V. E. Schwab, and Maggie Tokuda-Hall (for whom this is also a launch party). The authors: Victoria “V.E.” Schwab is the #1 NYT, USA, and Indie bestselling author of more than a dozen books, including Vicious, the Shades of Magic series, and This Savage Song. Her work has received critical acclaim, been featured by EW and The New York Times, been translated into more than a dozen languages, and been optioned for TV and Film. The Independent calls her the “natural successor to Diana Wynne Jones” and touts her “enviable, almost Gaimanesque ability to switch between styles, genres, and tones.” CHARLIE JANE ANDERS is the former editor-in-chief of io9.com, the popular Gawker Media site devoted to science fiction and fantasy.
