The scene was a nightmare...as they witnessed her walk out of the house holding her stomach, doing her best to keep its contents from spilling out onto the floor.

Axl frowned, reading over a new field report. Another body had been discovered yet again six days too late. If only the landlord had reported the tenant missing sooner, then they wouldn't be dealing with a bloated body and all traces of evidence melted away.

Just one more nail to close the wooden coffin shut. Eventually, their screaming will stop. After all, they should have made better choices than to steal from the gravekeeper.

Bryce expected the heat of flames. Instead, it was cold, dark, and lit by torches. A man in a suit led him to a room with an open door. Peering inside, Bryce knew why he was there. He was pushed inside, and the door promptly closed. Bryce felt his breath hitch as panic began to set in, and the furnace before him in the darkness of the room glowed an angry crimson.

After the fire from the blast had been extinguished and the smoke had cleared, he went looking for them only to find what had remained: only their charred skeletons locked in one final embrace.

Paula knew that once stepping inside, there was no going back. She would forever be trapped in an endless loop, but in order to save her friends, Paula would do anything, even enter the demon's pageant where it was required to wear human skins.

There was a deep cut on her cheek. Tiny rivulets of cherry red trickled from the wound. Beginning to slowly trail down her face. Slowly touching a hand to her face, she looked down at her hand in disbelief. Looking at the young child in front of her who shakily held a hand, a dagger in both hands, she smiled. This young one was the first to ever lay a hit on Rul, "The Invincible".

Price's wound had turned jet black and rigid. Lime-colored ooze leaked from it, and the veins were crimson and bulging. It wouldn't be long before he too would become one of the creatures that were hunting him.

He should have been careful, but he was careless, not realizing that even saliva carries infection. How could something so miniscule slip his mind? It wasn't as if he expected it not to, and at the time, he had been more worried about saving the person he cared about most.

The wound finally clotted, that it was already red and angry with infection. If it didn't get any better in a few weeks, they would have to amputate. At least it would slow down the virus. She was just glad this wasn't a zombie apocalypse.

Since walking inside, they could feel something heavy over their shoulders. It was as if they were all being watched. By whom or what, a part of them didn't want to know. Out of the corner of their eyes, however, they could see the shadows waiting...

The Templar never thought they would have to use the relic. Inside the house, the walls still trembled, and the cabinet doors still shook. Raising the object into the air, they began to chant a prayer.

He looked around for the closest thing that could be a weapon. Which ended up being a stick of all things. Well, it was better than being unarmed. Hopefully, it wouldn't anger the giant spiders outside. Whenever they got booped on the head with a stick.

The god warned them, and now others watched on as their fellow man turned into monsters.

In the woods, there is a creature who hunts and dwells within the sea of trees. Its beard is full and gray, and its eyes are void of color, being blinded long ago. If you're not careful, it will find you and treat you like prey till you have nowhere else to run.

They had stopped counting how many days they had been here. Walking the endless hallways that went nowhere. Their chest tightened, and it was getting hard to breathe. In front of them was a tall, twitching figure bending in ways that weren’t human.

In the darkened room lit by a small flickering lantern were life-sized dolls. Each one had an empty hole in their chest. It was as if they were waiting for a beating heart to fill it. So that it would bring them to life.
