Whatever happens, that is.

So after 2+ years I finally binge-watched a series which I was super excited about because it’s a period drama in Spanish (Cable Girls). I finished it this evening and I am so frustrated with it, the ending is so.. sad and so serious for  a show that has been basically a more classy soap opera. I really took it for a feel-good sort of series but no, hell no. It’s just a story but it made me so upset. On a more positive note, the actress who plays Lidia is insanely beautiful. If anyone has seen Cable Girls and wants to talk about it please message me. 

I finished my MA paper. I was so determined to delay it for February but my professor wouldn’t hear of it and I ended up writing an average, but long and good enough paper to earn my graduation this July. I am so proud of myself for staying up all night after work and writing it. I am less proud of the quality of this paper but truth is, I have a lot to work on at least with regards to postcolonial/Scottish studies. I have less than a month of freedom before I should start preparing for the PhD entrance exam but I am optimistic about it. I found a place to rent so I guess I will be stable enough to work my way through all the bibliography and independent readings. I don’t really know if it is worth the effort, but I will do my best.
