Welding weekend - kinda We were given these welded together galvanised frames - no longer wanted after a flood - so i cut them in half made some struts and put one on top of the other - nothing like a good upcycle! Going to clean and finish it up, put a steel top with a wooden shelf on it, throw wheels on that bad boy and boom!! Built to my height welding bench 🖤 In the other pics is the Master hard at work! Welding adventures For those playing at home Total welding time - 19 hours Welded up the last of the 6 foot gate so that can go and get galvanised Welded up the top and bottom cleats (or whatever) on the 5m pole and welded the caps and flat plate to the shorter pole (like the last one I put together) I had to join 2 bits of 10mm plate together and disappear the weld (v-butt weld) and this became the bottom "foot" of the pole M fabricates most of the stuff (I am just the fire stick monkey 🤘) I am ok with that because most of this shit is over 40kg Got to do a 3 run fillet, multiple single run fillets, v-butt join and a bunch of standard butt welds For someone with a busted body and "no real use" I feel pretty bloody useful right now (Don't @ me - I understand the bullshit headgames my demons play - I know I am actually useful 💋) #theurbanhippy #weldlife #welder #welding #ladywelder #mig #babywelders #girlsthatweld #womenthatweld #weldersofinstagram #setfiretostuff #simplelife #simplepleasures (at Goodna, Queensland, Australia) https://www.instagram.com/p/CbmjKGpPBmR/?utm_medium=tumblr
