A lot was going on in Hell’s Kitchen and it became a quiet interesting place. Natasha had a lot going on on her own too, but she was still curious. Which is why she was now standing in front of Nelson and Murdock Law Office, with some fake files in her hand. The blonde girl - Karen, as she learned earlier - told her tht Mr. Murdock was out and would only come later, but she could talk to Mr. Nelson and led her to his office. She was more interested in Matt, but that didn’t mean this meeting couldn’t get interesting.
“Helllo, my name is Natalie Rushman, I’m here on behalf of Stark Industries, I think we had an appointment?”
“ you wouldn’t be here if you didn’t think you had an appointment, “ he remarked cheekily before smacking himself mentally. stupid. getting an in with tony stark meant possibly getting an in with some money that nelson and murdock was very much lacking. if they could get tony stark as a client, they might be able to pay karen soon. “ please, have a seat, ms. rushman. “
“ how could you do this to me, matt? “ ):
“ aDORKable – yeah, sounds about right. ” he lets out a hearty laugh; certainly that could be the truest thing to ever come out of Foggy’s mouth.
the fact Foggy had zero inhibition about the fact Matt’s blindness - and the fact that he even played up on it sometimes - constantly reminded Matt how much he appreciated having the guy as a friend. the two had been together through thick and thin, and Foggy had stuck around through the whole Daredevil thing as well - there was really no one else he’d rather have be on his side for this long.
“ I’m glad you’re an expert in friendship now too, Fog. Might need to keep you around for when that comes in handy.”
A smirk plays at his lips again.
“ well, didn’t you know; this is the age of the nerds! nerds are in and totally cool, and it’s better than being an asshole like you, “ he remarked teasingly, sticking out a tongue at matt even though he couldn’t “see” it [ but he knew that matt would be able to “see” the gesture in his own unique way ].
it was weird to think that he hadn’t even needed to narrate a lot of matt’s life as he had picked up on doing during college. matt could probably tell other people’s emotions better than he could; foggy could only rely on body language and facial cues, while matt had the advantage of breathing and heartbeats.
he scoffs at matt’s friendship dig. “ you would have ran karen away in five seconds if it wasn’t for me, murdock. “
❛ RIGHT. silly me. ❜ it’s all she says, because she’s not going to expand on it. perhaps he’d eventually catch on to the fact that nothing got past shield & she had all those files with her now that things had gone so downhill. nat considers what he says after, giving a nod. ❛ tell me, nelson - what would you think of a registration act ? would you be behind it ? ❜
“ registration act? i’d need more information before i could form an opinion whether for or against. “ considering it seems to be what black widow was concerned about, he could make an educated guess; it was probably something to do with registering superheroes or people with powers.
