Public Study Playlist Unite People Online
If you look up “study playlist” on YouTube or Spotify, you’ll find lots of them. Most people just play them in the background while doing homework. But after using them for a while, I realised something cool, they actually create small online communities.
I started using study playlists during a really busy week of assignments. I searched for a calm music while I studied and found so many playlist and lots of people were active and had million of views and the playlist was very long which was nice. . At some point I looked at the comment section and noticed a lot of people talking about what they were studying. Someone said they were finishing a history essay at 2 a.m. Another person said they were studying for a chemistry test. Someone else just wrote that they were trying not to procrastinate. None of these people knew each other, but they were all studying at the same time while listening to the same playlist. It felt like an online meeting group and an active chat. Sometimes people even encourage each other. You’ll see comments like “Good luck on your exams,” or “You can finish that assignment.” It’s a small thing, but it actually makes studying feel less lonely.Overall this is a good example of how it can also connect people. A simple playlist can turn into a space where strangers share motivation, talk about school, and support each other. You don't realise the amount of people in different parts of the world also experiences like studying and listening to music. This helps people during a hard time of studying when you're tired knowing that there's other people there helping you out and also sharing the same pain of studying.
