YOU ASKED FOR IT: REYLO WEDDING
Today was the day that everyone has been waiting for. Ben and Rey were getting ready. In Ben’s room, Finn and Poe were with him helping and getting ready themselves. Ben finished tying his bowtie then says to himself, “What if my vows aren’t good enough?” He began to pace back and forth, “I’m not good enough for her.”
Finn placed his hand on his shoulder to stop him in his place. Finn said, “Dude, chill out. If you weren’t good enough we wouldn’t be here today. And besides what happened to the all confident Kylo Ren.”
Ben rolls his eyes, “FN- sorry I mean Finn, there is a difference between Kylo Ren and Ben Solo. Kylo Ren takes what he wants at no regard for anyone or anything. Ben Solo wants to do the right thing for his love ones.” Ben sighed and said, “It’s hard. I’ve never loved someone this much. I’m nervous...”
Poe says, “It’s gonna be alright. Just breathe. Rey is probably just as nervous as you are.”
Ben nodded and calmed down a little.
Meanwhile Rey paced back and forth in her dressing room. Rose stared at her for a while and then asked, “What’s the matter?”
“I just...I’m full of nerves. I feel like I could burst.” Rey says. “Ben is going to think I’m a mess.”
Rose puts her hand on her shoulder and says, “Everything will be okay! Ben is probably just as nervous as you are. Besides, he will think you are perfect.”
Rey nodded. As she finished getting ready she told Rose that she will be out in a second. Ben did the same to Finn and Poe. Ben started the connection with Rey. Ben and Rey stare into each others eyes like the day she realized he was Ben Solo.
Ben admires her dress, it looked similar to something Leia once wore before, Rey’s hair was down. She has a flower crown attached to a veil. Ben makes sure to look at every part of her and says, “You look...absolutely beautiful.”
Rey giggled and smiled, “We aren’t supposed to see each other before the ceremony.”
Ben shakes his head, “I don’t care, I just had to see you...and only you.”
Rey looks at him with so much love in her eyes and Ben the same. Rey says, “Only you...” with a big smile.
They stopped the connection. Ben walked out first and stood at the alter. Rey was about to walk out when she sensed something. She turned to see Luke’s force ghost. Her mouth flew wide open.
“What’s that look for?” He said, “You need someone to walk you down the aisle.” Rey couldnt stop smiling as her day seems to be getting better and better. She nodded and she wraps her arm around Luke’s. They slowly proceeded down the aisle. When she sees Ben that is only who she focused on. For him the same. They only had eyes for each other.
Luke brings her to the alter. He stops and gives her away to Ben. Rey and Ben join hands as continued to look at each other. Their souls felt intertwined. Lando walks up beside them. He decided to be the person to join them as one.
“Friends, we have joined here today to share with Rey and Ben an important moment in their lives. Their time together, they have seen their love and understanding of each other grow and blossom and now they have decided to live out the rest of their lives as one. Now let’s hear the vows.”
Rey began and said, “Ben, since I met you I’ve always noticed a conflict within you. When I looked at Kylo I saw Ben. I saw the light within you. I never gave up on you. The times Kylo offered his hand I wanted to take it so badly but I wanted Ben’s hand. When you came to my rescue I felt the light. The look you gave me that day showed me that you were no longer Kylo Ren. You were the Ben I’ve been waiting for. When we kissed I felt our connection grow stronger. My love for you will always continue you grow.”
Ben teared up a little and said, “Rey...you were the light to my darkness. I did horrible things but you continued to see the light in me. You never gave up on me. Time after time of fighting you still showed that you cared for me. I will always cherish these moments and this particular moment for as long as I live. I’m glad to have someone who radiates love, light and care as my wife.”
Rey teared up from his words. His vows sounded so sweet and so pure.
“By the power vested in me by the force. I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may now kiss the bride.”
Ben cupped Rey’s face as he kissed her so passionately. Rey’s hands wrapped around his neck. They break the kiss as Lando says, “I present to you, Mr and Mrs. Solo!”
Everyone rose from their seats, cheering and clapping. The two ran down the aisle and to the reception area. Rey threw her bouquet of flowers behind her. Rose had caught the bouquet and looked at Finn while waving. Finn nervously grinned and looked away from her and looked around for Poe. Everyone followed the newlyweds as they made their way over to the cake. They cut a slice together. Then they fed each other a little piece of the cake.
Then began the dancing all night long. Ben and Rey have their first slow dance. Their bodies move according to each other. It was like they knew what the other would do. Ben threw in a few spins to Rey. Every time their eye contact broke they fixed it as soon as possible. Their slow dance began to stop as they looked at one another. It was as if no one else was there. As if nothing else mattered. Ben pulls her close.
“Rey,” he paused, “you changed my life.”
Rey smiles big, “You changed my life too. The force brought us together.”
He made his toothy grin and kissed her like there was no tomorrow.
