So Kris doesn’t back up or react in fear at all in this scene…
(in which Queen approaches ominously, inadvertently whaps them upside the head, and then uses their entire face as an elbow rest)
…but Kris does back up closer to Noelle when Queen almost seems to recognize her and then walks towards them to get a closer look.
It seems almost like a protective movement.
