Grandma Ferret. (X)
Today’s Grandma Ferret
REAL TEARS I AM CRYING REAL TEARS
Color palette update. Going with some classic colors.
Currently making a Catherine's Wheel blanket. I'm loving this pattern and these colors.
I'm working on the front right panel now. The other stitches are on stitch holders until i need them, but my stitch holders came open yesterday and i had to rescue about 40 stitches. Hopefully i didn't mess up my cables 😭

Finally finished the short rows for now. Have to do 5 repeats of where I'm at, then back to short rows lol.
My first wearable, update 3
I'm currently at the beginning of my coat, but I'm working from top down. Currently, I'm working on the neck and shoulders. The cables are complicated and I'm having to use the highlighter function in Adobe reader to keep track of where i am. I've just completed row 14 and I've started the cables at the front now too. I really hope i don't mess it up.
Thank you! ❤️ it's so soft. I'm excited to get it further along and try it on!

I had to start over because i had a bunch of mistakes. Now you can see the cabling starting to take shape.

Finally got through the short rows. Working stitches with their wraps is hard and I'm pretty sure i messed it up like 6 times. 😅😅😅
I'm slowly making progress on my coat. I'm working in short rows which is a little hard for me personally, and i keep forgetting which way i insert the needle in the horizontal bar for m1r, m1l, m1pl, and m1pr. I keep having to go back to some short videos to tell which is which and I'm not sure if I'm doing it right because it's chenille and it doesn't have a lot of stitch definition. I guess I'll see.
I read a quote that says: each mistake is just an advanced technique you didn't mean to use.
I keep reminding myself that every time i make a mistake and trust me there's a lot in this so far. It's mostly with picking up the wraps when i wrap and turn. I've had to start marking my wrapped stitches so i know which one has a wrap that needs to be picked up.
Edit: snowed in. How's your weather?
your month, your flower friend!
Too cute not to share
In working on my previous project (the star sweater), i realized I'm playing yarn chicken. I don't have enough and i can't afford to get more right now.
I'm a big girl and this star panel is using a lot of my black and white. It works up so fast that I'm about to run up against a brick wall... so i started another project.
I'm making a long jacket.
It's this one on Ravelry. It's a gorgeous jacket with a hood. I do not have enough for this either, but knitting takes me a lot longer to do, so I'm not rushing to get more yarn right now.
I just finished the first row. Of course I pick a complicated pattern because why wouldn't i pick something easy? Lol
Currently crocheting a star sweater following this pattern. I've been working on it off and on for a while. It's a quick work up, but i get distracted easily and go through phases of hyperfocus and then complete disinterest. It's so hard to actually finish projects. 😫
i accidentally added this so what colors should my next sweater be?
blue
white
varigated blue/purple/white

Spinning tussah silk update 2.
Something I'm starting to notice is that silk singles aren't squishy like the wool. They're very dense and firm.
For those of you interested, this isn't a blend. It's only tussah silk and I'm using comb top braids. I don't have a carder (machine or hand carders) so i don't make batts myself (yet).
yessss and when you have a smol handful or hank of it, it *scrunches*. like when you walk on thick, fresh snow o_o
Oh! That's cool! I'm excited to get a nice hank. I need this! It sounds very satisfying ^_^
