We're back, baby. Artist and friend MOCH graciously opens his doors for our next show, with the theme Exploration.Â
Friday October 3, 7-10, email [email protected] for address and details...
We're excited to team up with Youme Haus for our first summer show. They have a great basement space for all of our art to hang and a great back yard for all of us to hang. The theme this time around is "Rugged," take that as you will.
As always, this is an open call, bring your own art show, come one, come all, and spread the word.Â
For our February show we decided to give back to the community where most of these shows have been happening. A silent auction will benefit the BSCAH at a home on MacDonough St. Operating one of NYCâs largest emergency food programs, the BSCAH serves 1.3 million meals a year to the hungry in Bed-Stuy, Brownsville, and Ocean Hill. More info: http://bedstuyagainsthunger.org. 100% of proceeds will go towards the BSCAH.
For the first show of 2014 we'll be heading back to Bed-Stuy near the intersection of DeKalb and Bedford Aves. Hosts Andrew Piccone and Charles Gibson are sure to help us set off the new year right by opening up their home for "Human." As usual, anyone can bring a piece of work to sell or trade. Bring your art a couple minutes before show-time to hang it or just come get cozy. RSVP for Address and spread the word
Hosted by the editors of BLAAAH magazine, this months show will be part fundraiser to raise money for the next issue of their periodical. Going along with the theme of the upcoming issue (RITUAL), and in lieu of the holiday season, the art show will revolve around ritualistic practices in contemporary culture. There will be live music, warm cocktails, and baked goods for sale. As usual, anyone can bring a piece of work to hang and sell/trade. Bring a piece or just come get cozy and help support the local art community.Â
