In life We’re faced with trials & for the life of Us can’t see beyond the pain of it to even fathom the Good that may come from it. Well if You’ve ever victored thru a trial that would’ve destroyed someone else realize You have that Trial to Thank for Your Strength & Resilience. Inorder to Get Thru it, You have to Go Thru it. I pretty much raised Myself & as a child would’ve done anything to have more Loving, Supportive parents. Hindsight being 20/20, as a teenager I had to make several adult decisions; once I had to flee a life-threatening situation without having any finances or even a destination. The truth is, had I not endured such a support-Less upbringing I probably wouldn’t have had the strength to leave and wouldn’t be around now to share the Testimony. Sometimes God’s not penalizing Us, He’s preparing Us; giving Us the tools We need today in order to get the job done tomorrow. Black Lives Matter is a powerful movement but My question is how are other races supposed to receive this message when We don’t receive it Ourselves? Why are Black Men so disrespectful to Black Women? What happened to being a Protector as opposed to an oppressor or offender that the Black Woman has to defend herself against? From time to time people do Me dirty. They attempt to defame My character while smiling in My face (or inbox🧐). Just so that We’re clear; people rarely get away with anything around Me. I just seldom have time to address it. When I don’t say anything it’s not that I don’t know; I know exactly what’s going on. I’m watching You & observing the way You move. Thieves & liars are cowards especially when they’re adults. I have never had any respect for a coward. I understand You and Your peers still live in the 90s so all You know is 90s behavior. I never thought this was who You are but You know what they say: “Byrds of a feather... ” We were supposed to always be friends. There was no bad blood between us. Woman2Woman: I hate to be rude, disrespectful or perceived as insensitive; But I’ve always had the personality that won’t allow Anyone to back Me into a corner. I’m very cut & dry; I mean what I say & I say what I mean. When I ask for space give it to Me. You can’t push someone then expect to dictate how hard they push back. For Every Action there is a Reaction. I had one of the most irritating yet insightful conversations this evening. Irritating because I was forced to look at a boy I used to know and insightful because I was forced to remember & examine the girl I used to be. I don’t think it was either of Our faults; We were products of Our environment. I remember when the lightbulb turned on and it was clear to Me that it was time to go. No money, no clothes, no destination, yet it was time to go. The misery and abuse was stifling; I didn’t know where I was going but I knew it was better than where, what & who I was leaving. I had to step outside of Myself this evening & remember that’s not My life anymore but it made Me wonder how much subconscious trauma I witnessed or endured in order for Me to be confused as to what love really was? Never go back to what broke you; accept the lesson & keep it moving. The longer You dance with the devil the longer You remain in hell. Thirty years ago what was done to Me was a bitch move but what should I have expected?
