Now you see, dear viewers, this is an example of the kind of commission spam bots that I said I'd shoot on sight. They may seem legitimate on the surface, but let's go over how to look out for them so that you don't have to waste your money on bad artwork or even not get anything in return.
For one, this "commission sheet" can't even be called that. It lists stuff that the artist can draw, and has a few example pictures, but notice how there's almost zero information on the stuff that would actually help you to get a good picture such as a terms of service. Not a single price is listed as well, which is the most important thing you would need to know prior to getting a commission. That is a major red flag.
Also, the way these items are listed give me the impression that this bot will draw everything on here. I'm sure there's some commissioners willing to go that far, but almost every artist I've come across has limits for what they draw. Doesn't it sound too good to be true?
"But wait, they do have art" sure, but let's actually look at it.
The art is very inconsistent. While artists can absolutely emulate different styles, the previous point of the commission info being next to nonexistent and the artist seemingly able to "draw everything" means that the artwork itself... looks like complete ass when you actually look at it in further detail. These bots are getting more clever by posting "timelapses" and "works in progress", but we all know what's really going on: It's AI generated either entirely or AI that's traced over.
Also, notice how this bot posts these "commissions" but never actually states who asked for them? While there are a few people who seemed to actually buy art from them, why are the posts by the artists completely uncredited?
So to recap: If an account is suspiciously quick to tell you that they're open for commissions right as you've made a post mentioning them, look further.
Is their commission information easy to access and upfront about their process?
Does their art style look different from one picture to the next, and does OP say that it's intentional?
Who are OP's clients? Why would OP be reluctant to say their names?
If it seems like OP can take any commission you ask, and in such a short time, are you absolutely certain that it's possible?
Listen to what Sonic says, kids: If it seems too good to be true, it's probably false.
