Dusting off the unrelated sideblog to say this, but holy SHIT is Stranger Things a generational fumble. Like, this was my childhood, I grew up with these characters just to watch them get MASSACRED by the dummer brothers and FUCKING CHATGPT!! Series finally so bad it's brought back my drive to be creative because I'll be damned if I let AI and talentless hacks get away with murder on live television
Even aside from the unresolved plot threads, the potential* dangling of byler to keep people watching and the resulting destruction of any semblance of a healthy mileven and character arc for Mike, nothing about how they ended the show was satisfying or made sense when you think about anything established in the previous seasons
(* I am a divorcegate truther and think byler was originally planned to be canon)
Fuckin anyways back to writing fic and my own, much better scifi fantasy series <3
