I am hesitant to make any requests, especially when there are already so many nameday events, and similar things happening in July, But I have a pretty awful workday coming up tomorrow (including my particular favourite: being summoned for a massive bollocking after committing the heinous crime of going above and beyond to get someone all the things they said they wanted, only for then to change their mind.

So if anyone has any cheery Gposes or screenshots they would like to share (self reblogs encouraged) then that would at least give me something to look forward to after a miserable day.

Here's one character who definitely isn't evil (she very much is) who definitely isn't secretly communicating with her reaper avatar.

Here's that same character teaching a very innocent friend how to do her makeup.

And here's my other character (The Au'Ra) trying to help someone who only knows betrayal to feel love, appreciated, and valued as a friend. The dramatic lighting is because they're both goth. And definitely not because the other one is also voidsent... I have a habit of writing darker themes.

If you’re using Skype you should dump it and get Discord instead!

Pros:

Cleaner, easier to navigate interface

Free servers for more permanent group chat things (way easier to hop in and out of chats)

You can actually have different nicknames on each server if you want

Is actually well built and doesn’t make your computer yearn for death

Cons:

All your friends aren’t on it

But you can change that

Download it. It’s great and it’s only getting better. It’s aimed at gamers but it has nearly all the functionality of Skype and then some.

Since Discord first became a thing, it has added:

friends lists

group chats

changeable statuses

search function

and a hell of a lot more! Also this is a huge shout out to any of my friends who still use Skype – I don’t use it, I use Discord. Mail me and I’ll shoot you my details :)

Also the audio quality is just way better and more consistent than Skype’s.

Discord uses it’s own servers to host calls instead of relying on a user host like skype :0
