Marcus is actually through a good chunk of his own homework before he looks up at his friend. It suddenly occurs to him how hard he’d found the classes when he’d gotten here, and even though he’s not sure whether Devin’s having the same problem, he can’t help but offer his help.

“What I want to know is, how none of you Aphrodite kids saw the Nico/Will thing coming.”

Marcus shrugs. “I mean, there was gossip, but there’s gossip about just about everyone who stands less than two feet apart for longer than a minute and a half. I don’t think any of us are super close with Will, and Nico keeps to himself a lot.”

“ watch out ! ” marcus winces as the arrow flies in completely   the wrong direction— kinda seems no matter how many times   he practices, he should really stick to things that don’t require   aim. especially when he seems to come really close to injuring    other campers.

Hearing someone speak, August slowly turned around && furrowed his eyebrows at his words. ❝ Uh—what? No, no one has turned any in anyways. Where did you have them last? ❞

 “ Well— I had them last week, and then they vanished,    but I was asking around again today and someone    said they’d seen them over here, so I figured— ” He    cuts himself short before he can keep rambling. “ Uh.    On my feet, pretty much. I couldn’t find them then day    after I’d worn them. ”

He’s been landed with a coke can and a chocolate bar he’s definitely not allowed to have inside camp borders due to the no outside food or drink rule, and he’s not sure what to do with them since he doesn’t want to eat them.

“Have you seen a pair of shoes around here? Converse, white, neon pink laces?” He’s lost them. Actually, he’d lost them awhile ago, but he’d been pointed in this direction, so here he is.

also: most aphrodite kids can change part of their appearance at will. how far does that extend? like, tonks level appearance change? how many can control it? 

and both amokinesis and charmspeak are technically forms of mind control, aren’t they? like aphrodite kids can literally manipulate someone’s feelings if they don’t actually have charmspeak. they can radiate love & beauty, aka make someone fall in love with them not of their own free will. does it work the opposite way too?? if they can make someone fall in love, or have feelings of love, and if you asses hate as an absence of love, can they just take it away? how far does this empathy manipulation stretch w/o charmspeak?

PLUS a bunch of minor stuff. permanent makeup. and i think i remember like. small curses that causes bad hair days or your clothes to always be one size too small
