and a trainer that needs no introduction, not anymore. they detatch a pokéball from their belt, the movement lacking any hesitation.

Nemona wastes no moment, enlarging the Pokéball in her hand and getting ready to throw out her first Pokémon. She's been waiting for this.

you're not going to let me live that down, are you?

"The fact that my little baby managed to absolutely annihilate yours?

The little baby in question being Rawri, her Pawmot, who just the day before managed to absolutely annihilate one of Nemona's Pokèmon without even breaking a sweat... and who, needless to say, still felt quite smug about it.

"Yeah, well!! We'll beat you next time for sure!!" It's true, they got their asses kicked by Rawri... Nube, her Quaquaval, was still a little upset about it.

"...I guess?" Hmm. She doesn't like being scolded, but she can understand why Nico is doing it. She's not elaborating on how she's doing it though.

"Hey uh, I was wondering if you're free this afternoon."

"This afternoon?"

Let's see... she should study, do some battle simulations for the exams, maybe go ahead and actually go out there and get into actual battles and help her dad with his research of why so many Shiny Pokèmon are pink...

"...yeah, I'm basically free."
