NCLB Fail

When I’m being evaluated for students I don’t even teach.

When we’re supposed to take a computer test but we have no computers.

When I get reimbursed a whole $250 for classroom supplies for the year.

When my students come to school hungry.

When my student has a question about their standardized test.

When my cranky uncle says, “what’s with all these government school breakfast programs? It’s just a granola bar.”

When my students want to do an art project but our school can’t afford to buy supplies.

When I find out our funding has been cut yet again this year.

When my class takes the practice test for the pre-test for the other pre-test for the actual test.

When politicians talk about testing.

When someone says they know how to fix all our education problems but they've never been in front of a classroom. 

When “education supporters” want to cut our funding.

When someone tells me how great it is to have summers off, and I actually have two weeks off.

When my test has nothing that was covered over the previous year.
