I've already seen a few people come up with the take "artists just hate AI 'cause they don't want their jobs to be replaced by machines, this is nothing new, everyone is in danger of having their jobs replaced by machines, they're just being self-centered about it." Which, beyond just being a supremely unempathetic thing to say, also just completely misses the point about what AI "art" does and why artists don't like it. AI "art" does not replace art made by humans; in fact, it can't exist without it. It's basically a glorified collage. AI "art" is exploiting art made by humans. It's bastardizing it and repackaging it to give people the thinnest possible excuse to not pay artists for their work.
