You are not a waste of space. You deserve to be here, to live as happily and as loudly as you want. Occupy your space. Assert yourself. You are here for one reason only and that is to live the life you have, being the happiest you can be. You deserve so much more than to feel that you are a waste. No one is more or less deserving to occupy their space in this world. People deserve to live life according to what makes them feel happy, healthy, safe and compassionate.

When you start to respect yourself, you also start to recognize who doesn’t. Friendships watering down, clashing with people you used to get along with, discovering some relationships/dynamics aren’t for you— it’s all part of growing as a person and realizing what is and isn’t what you want or need. It doesn’t mean that there’s something wrong with you or that you’re doing the wrong thing: new habits, new boundaries and a newfound self-respect often require reevaluation.

It is okay to feel things that others do not understand. You are not weird. There is nothing wrong with you. Please do not forget that you are one of a kind, my love. You are a complex human being with complex emotions. No one has to understand you in order to validate your feelings. They matter simply because they are. Just like you, darling.
