I’m not sure it says it anywhere but Mood Swings First Edition is $25. That’s for a 45-card deck. Everything you need to play for 2-4 players.
Does this feel gross to anyone else?
I wouldn't pay more than $5 for a nice deck of playing cards. And at $25 I'd expect everything you need to play to include a copy of every card in this set.
Like I get that isn't the business model they're going for but this feels like it should be more Dominion or something and less cash grab gambling cards.
I could go on but this price point coupled with it being a Secret Lair brought me from immense excitement for Mood Swings to the realization that I won't be buying a product I've been looking forward to for years.
I think the idea is that you don’t need all of the cards to have a full experience, so the $25 price point is aligned with other tabletop games. That said, I’m annoyed that it’s a Secret Lair first edition and will be eaten up by scalpers and collectors. I’ll probably buy it if it eventually ends up on the game shelf at Target.
