Do you think one day Cape Cod really will be submerged under water? We could be the new Atlantis. That’d be pretty fucking cool.

I mean, we'd have to have the technology to survive underwater...but yeah, that would be cool.

We should have gotten together and taken turns babysitting, then. At least we can both understand being busy and needing to have some alone time to practice, which is more than I can say for most people.

Yeah, we should've. Everyone keeps telling me how fun it is, but I swear that thing knew whenever I was practicing.

They’re hiring a bunch of places, but it just depends on who’s going to give me the call back. I’ve got my fingers crossed after applying to a few local places in town.

Well, at least they're hiring. Good luck getting that call back.

Finding a well-paying part time job is actually a lot harder than people make it seem.

It's pretty stupid, but I heard they changed it to Indigenous People's Day in Seattle?

That would get old really fast. I would ask someone to take care of the baby while I practice, but my partner shouldn’t have to take care of him for that long, and there’s no one else to do it at home.

Yeah, everyone else has better things to do in my house, too, and my partner's really busy, so there's not really anyone else to take care of it.

Is your partner sharing the work equally?

Oh, yeah, he's fine. I just have to practice every day, and crying babies make that hard.

That’s why I practice at home, usually. I used to try practicing at school, but it’s still school, and even I don’t like being here too long.

Oh, yeah, I practice at home too, mostly. But every time I'm really getting into it, the baby starts crying.

Oh, you’re not excited about that, either? I’m kind of on the fence about it, but I don’t see too big of a problem with it, really.

It's cutting into my practice time, mostly. It's hard to get into it when I keep getting interrupted.

I think it could be kind of fun, if not a little silly! I mean, they’re not gonna take much care at least. But if you don’t want kids, I can see how stupid this would be.

Yeah, I've got too much to do and I keep getting interrupted. It is really making me appreciate my parents, though.

Yeah, but… you can just not have babies, you don’t have to go and get a… you don’t have to go and do that!

[shrug] I mean, there are other reasons too, but it's pretty effective.

I refuse to believe you until you actually say why. I mean, it’s just a baby, not even a real one. [Sways his own doll thing(?) in his arms, soothing it.] Mini Theo isn’t that much work, he’s pretty cool.
