Pevensie Majors - Headcanon
Aspired to be a general surgeon after witnessing so many men die in agony on the battlefield
Unbothered by blood and gore (he fought wars, after all)
Pursuing medicine complements his passion for math and science
A rare breed in his profession at the time. He:
Sees the person, not the disease
Treats nurses with respect, referring to them as “my angels”
Excellent bedside manner; loved by staff and patients
Very approachable and always willing to sit down and teach nurses/med students/families
Develops gallows humor after being around death so much, which has also heightened awareness of his own mortality
Learned the rudiments of medicine in Narnia, and was often seen ministering to fallen/wounded troops
Frequently goes to third-world countries to render aid
His family pesters him with requests for medical advice
Neglects himself to take care of his patients
In constant introspection
Fascinated by the workings of the human mind, and hopes her knowledge of it will help her better understand her complicated feelings toward Narnia
Loves reading people, and often sits in crowded places just to study them
Ironically, she understands others better than she understands herself
Sigmund Freud is her biggest influence; she believes her childhood molded her into who she is
Finds meaning in everything, but is frequently told she reads too deeply into things
Gives great advice, but doesn’t always heed her own and would rather solve other peoples’ problems while ignoring hers
Very empathetic and a great listener (most of the time)
Edmund: Law/Political Science
Strives to advocate for the marginalized, since they remind them so much of himself
Infamous for the quips he throws in the courtroomÂ
Would’ve traveled to America during Freedom Summer (1964) to help African-Americans register to vote in the South
Savage during cross-examinations
An egalitarian who believes in justice for all
Serving as Narnia’s diplomat made him into a silver-tongued orator. His enthralling opening statements and closing arguments have moved people to tears
The only honest politician (he always tells it like it is)
Well-read in ethics and philosophy
Lucy: World History/Women’s studies
Has always been intrigued by different cultures
Feminist; was appalled by the oppression of girls and women in countries like Calormen, and dedicated herself to empowering them there and in her own world
A globetrotter; explores the world to see the pictures in her textbook in person. Became an amateur photographer and writes in a journal to document her travels
Whenever Peter travels for the job, she jumps at the chance to accompany him, giving him tours if she’s been there before
Immerses herself in the culture everywhere she goes, attempting to learn the language and customs, try new food, and befriend the people
Collects souvenirs from her travels, showing them off to her family
Her wardrobe is full of kimonos, saris, and other foreign apparel
Loves seeing the world, but “There’s no place like home!” Â
