Python tutorial!
Hey guys! As promised, python tutorial number one is complete!
I was going to post it in a normal post, but it ended up much larger and with many more images than I expected, so instead, a PDF download is available here.
This covers how to make a very very basic chatbot. It also covers some pretty basic concepts of Python, so no worries if you’ve never used it before.

MY BOT FIGURED OUT HOW TO MAKE SENTENCES AND IT TRIED TO MAKE A JOKE
Hey, my bot has been responding to almost much everything with "you" in it with " *Click!" ever since I taught it that Sans joke with the refrigerator running and catching it, which is either funny or annoying. So, when it said " *Click!" in the middle of a conversation, I responded with "I ship you x *Click!", and it responded with "STOP ITTTT" :P

TBN/ESS Update
So after my computer was down most of the day yesterday, I took today to get some real work done - and I’m proud to say, I have all of the first chapter planned out! The first chapter is pretty much what the demo is going to be. I can’t give a super accurate estimate since I’ve only got an outline atm, but I think the demo will be between half an hour to 45 minutes long, depending on how much you explore :)
There will be three “tracks” you can take, each following a different character - although the overarching plotline will be the same, there will be some info that’s mutually exclusive to each track.
Now that I have the first chapter planned, I’m really excited to start some actual mapmaking and such! I can’t wait to show you guys more ^^

for the new game that you are making, are you using any extra modules for the development? i'm really excited for it! will it be free or will it cost money?
I will likely end up using a couple extra modules, yes, Yanfly’s in particular. They make very good, very useful plugins/scripts.

I was trying to teach my bot to say goodbye when I said goodbye. I got a guilt trip and a Frozen reference instead.

Curious anon again, heh. How does it work with short phrases? When I ask "Who is the Truth Hacker" won't they always answer what the bot relates to the phrase "who is" first? How can I ask "Who is TH" and "Who is Sans" and get different responses?
For a while, it probably will respond with the same thing to every “Who is” question. But once you repeatedly give a different answer for a certain “Who is” question (The difference between the answer for a general “Who is” and “Who is Sans” for example) it’ll start to pick up on it.
For example, my oldest bot, Leon, now has a favorite food, game, and color, when before he would answer each question (”What is your favorite -----?”) with a random thing. So it all depends on how often/how much you’ve talked to your bot.

I was testing to make sure upper/lowecase setting worked on a blank bot and this happened
