But also I think the whole point of your 20’s maybe is to “get stuck” in such a big way at least once that it shocks you into promising yourself to never let it get that bad again

Just because they’re nice to you, doesn’t mean they value you. When you value something, you deeply understand it’s worth. It’s precious and means the world to you. If someone values something, they take good care of it. They’ll check up on it, make sure it’s needs are met and keep it safe.

I’m really at the breaking point between [several real life issues that are intense] but there’s so much comfort in sitting with myself and being like. You aren’t “depressed” and you don’t “need to change your thinking” there are actually really intense and stressful things going on and it’s hard. Eat cereal in bed and fall asleep early.
