What is it to live a human life for an animal? Or three. What is to be seen of the very nature of things? To watch them. To love them. To observe them just being, so simply. So uncomplicated. With their faces, they speak. That much becomes apparent very quickly. In observing them so very, very closely I'm now aware of a whole realm of communication I didn't previously know existed. To have this my human life so totally and utterly reduced to the loving and caring for them is surely significant though. I make no exaggerations, I dramatise it none. My family, few as they always were, are now all and entirely gone. My friends, few and very far between. My life, reduced, boiled down as it were to three dogs. I can say with some certainty that I'm detaching from the race of men. The whole human comedy only important to me now for artistic purposes. The rise and fall of civilisations, are of intellectual relevance only, at best. I'm heartbroken, feeling hard bitten and entirely disillusioned with my whole species. All that does and ever has mattered to me, the human, however, is whether or not life will inspire in me good art. That's all I've ever TRULY cared about. So will it? Will my own manifestation bring about any knowledge, or wisdom, or humour even, anything of value to the art? Well that remains to be seen.
