ALOT of people don't know how the order of the ship name matter, but yes it is about dynamics and who's more assertive or not. Basically that top/bottom thing (in that order.). but it doesn't HAVE to be sexual.

Shigesato: It has Shigeru(Gary) being more "assertive/dominant/top" one in the relationship while Satoshi(Ash) is the "submissive/bottom." one. This is the more common one.

—I personally think this makes more sense FOR ME since Gary is like.. a confident, smug, arrogant and smart guy who prefers having/taking control and is more composed than Ash.. but he has his soft moments because he's not fully a dickhead

I imagine that in the relationship Gary likes all type of affection, he loves guiding Ash in a way and although rarely, he is the type to do BIG gifts. (Ash loves it but gets flustered at times. "You didn't have to do that." Type.)

While Ash is a more passive guy, he can be pouty, confident and competitive at times but he mostly doesn't care who's in control in the relationship. It just so happens that Gary prefers to be the assertive one so, Ash let's it be since he doesn't mind.

I imagine that he loves pyshical affection and he's very CASUAL bout it. (Gary loves how simple and easy it comes.)

—I personally don't like this ship as FOR ME, it mischaracterizes them quite a bit. Making a generalization here, but from what I've seen, alot of Satoshige shippers highlight or even exaggerate Gary's reserved softer side and Ash's loud and destructive side to the point it's... Ehhhh..

It's a good ship! But it could be portrayed much better and more character accurate.

Honeslty this also applies to Satgou or even Dekubaku aswell

do you get pushed out of circles of people, ignored in convos, etc ? your f/o notices when it happens. maybe you've gone off to sit against a wall, understanding when you're not wanted. they notice you sitting alone and they'll come find you. maybe they notice how the circle slowly encloses and how you're pushed out , or how you've slowly gone quiet. they make a point to include you, asking you your thoughts and encouraging you to keep saying what you were saying before. no matter what , they're more interested in talking to you than anyone else in the room. you're not a discarded friend to them , you're someone they adore and want to hear more from.

ever been part of a friend group but not IN one , feeling like you dont belong or you're just the floater friend ? well, your f/o never makes you feel like that. with them, you're an integral part of the group. whether its just the two of you, or many people, they notice when you're gone, when you're off, when you're quiet. you're important in their group, you're wanted there. you're not just someone who's fun sometimes to them , you are a core part of the friend group and they will always choose you first.

if you have a group project , your f/o seeks you out in the room first. when your teacher announces that you get to choose your partners, they silently give you a look that says "me and you ?" , and they mean it. when youre able to go choose your partners, they instantly run to your desk. no more hesitantly asking groups if you can join , no more pairing up with the kids who look at you weird , no more feeling like a sore thumb in the project. they're choosing you first for every single thing. you work together like equals, and they value your opinion. it's not awkward anymore with them.
