Why Is Damage Control The Bad Guys In The MCU?
So yeah…..am I the only one who watched “Spider-Man Brand New Day” movie who effectively realized that the MCU had effectively turned a pretty novel concept of a literal in-universe blue collar cleanup crew for superheroes with them being actually hard-working good natured well-meaning people happened to live among literal gods and monsters as the MCU effectively just turned them into another generic evil US government organization/agency like Project Cadmus from DC comics?
Because it feels like the MCU literally just wanted a evil garment organization from the United States to actually act as villains for several street-level heroes instead of relying on the unique charm of the original series from the comics as they essentially made the idea of reiterating the point of the United States government is ALWAYS just evil/bad in comic books & pop culture in general who actively work against its own citizens rather than showcasing that despite not all of them being perfect, the VAST MAJORITY of government workers are just regular people who are mostly good, honest and hard-working people (like my own mom was before her own retirement) but who are often overlooked and overshadowed by the few corrupt politicians, rogue agents & bad actors of the US government who are usually the ACTUAL main villains of these types of stories.
