Ā It happened while he was painting near the town square.
The lighting was fine. The angle seemed fair. The picture itselfā Aaron frowned, trying to pick apart why the scenery heād picked to practice just didnāt feel right. He had wanted to try his hand at a commonplace setting, thus his wandering into town, and nothing had seemed to fit the bill better than where this light post, bench, and flowerbed met.Ā
The light post gave him a rustic kind of feeling and he was content with thatā so, that couldnāt be it. The flower bed was⦠admittedly, lacking some color, but that in itself fit the charm that this section of the town had to offer. The benchā
Aaron stiffened.Ā The bench. Thatās what it was. Its form was wrong and the wood choice was terrible. Sturdy, sure, but there were such ways to fill that form while also keeping a form of art in the build.
Good thing heād towed his ax along!
ā¦And, of course, someoneĀ had to walk by just as he raised the tool above his head, his intentions clear for the bench.
"ā¦This is not what it looks like."
