“You never really know the true impact you have on those around you. You never know how much someone needed that smile you gave them. You never know how much your kindness turned someone’s entire life around. You never know how much someone needed that long hug or deep talk. So don’t wait to be kind. Don’t wait for someone else to be kind first. Don’t wait for better circumstances or for someone to change. Just be kind, because you never know how much someone needs it.”

When people ask me why I’m so nice,

“Being together is the miracle, being together and caring. Sleeping together, feet touching, legs touching. Being asleep and together.”

“Pride is spiritual cancer: it eats up the very possibility of love, or contentment, or even common sense.”

I’m not sure humans are equipped to move through existence without lying to each other. There is a certain amount of lying that seems to be necessary, or we just won’t be able to make it through. It’s the big lies we have to be really, really careful about because, in the end, the truth doesn’t care that we need to lie to each other to make it through the day. It just is.
