I literally get so insanely mad when in public i get spoken to in russian. Like do i really look like a russian speaker to you? Its fine if i do, but still if we live in latvia, your first sentence to me should be in latvian, or maybe english if you're a tourist. What's crazy is that there are some that have the audacity to shout at me for not knowing russian. Like do you even hear yourself? Why would i speak russian in a country that is actively trying to get rid of the language in its school curriculum? The only time i personally speak russian is if the person is close to me and/or they are making an effort into learning latvian. Other than that i hate speaking russian and i hate being spoken to in russian.
