I wanted to draw something different. Like your typical shôjo shônen ai fluffy kawaii cotton candy romantic colorful pastel scene.

It’s not like Jimin’s cotton candy hair makes me weak but it’s totally what I mean.

Guys so I noticed something interesting from this episode of the Run series. At first Jimin is standing with his arms crossed and Jungkook has his hands clasped together. But then around 0:22 suddenly Jimin is  MIRRORING Jungkook’s position!! Which means that out of all the members standing in front of him, he’s only focused on Jungkook that’s why he unconsciously mirrored how JK was standing. Kill me now.

Awww~

Some things just need to exist. Like Jungkook straddling Jimin’s lap and lowkey grinding down while they’re swallowing each other’s kisses and Jimin impatiently raising up the shirt that was tucked in Kookie’s way too tight pants. Yeah.

Kookmin cuddling in bed, their hands intertwined on top of Kookie’s chest, Kook’s other arm holding Jimin’s waist & sometimes his thumb would draw small circles on Chim’s lower back or hip. Kookie kissing and whispering I love yous & sweet nothings to a sleepy Jimin’s hair/ forehead

Kookmin spooning - Jimin waking up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom, so he carefully tries to remove Kookie’s arm holding his waist. Kookie groans and tightens his hold on Jimin’s waist instead. Jimin turns a bit, kisses Kookie’s nose & whispers he needs to go to the bathroom, Kookie slowly lets go of him and sleepily says “come back quickly”. After going to the bathroom, Jimin then sneaks outside to go to their kitchen to drink a glass of water. While drinking, he gets startled when he feels a pair of arms snaking around his waist, Kookie comes up behind him, nuzzles his neck and then says “i thought i told you to come back to bed quickly”. Kookie stays attached to his back, nuzzling his neck all the time while he finished his glass of water & placed it on the sink. Jimin turns around in Kook’s hold, right hand holds Kookie’s face & gives him a quick kiss & says “let’s go back to bed”. Jungkook sneaks a hand under Jimin’s shirt to gently rub his tummy, making Jimin put his arms around Kook’s neck & caress his hair, they kiss softly for a few seconds -which felt like years- making Jimin smile into the kiss. Kook then says “bed’s cold without you” before he leads Jimin back to their bedroom while still clinging behind him like a koala.

I usually don’t do this kind of thing, but I’m itching inside while reading some stuff, and I just really want to put this out there…

Jungkook and Jimin have a close and special relationship. End point. 

See, the thing about the recent event is that, no matter the circumstances, it doesn’t matter if he was quoting a k-drama (as I’ve seen some people attempting to point out, which… Sorry, it’s nice to think about stuff from different perspectives and in an unbiased way, but I just think it was a stupid thing to try and compare to, lmao. Especially if none of them have ever mentioned watching it, so…), what matters is that Jungkook is still younger than Jimin, and therefore, this is uncommon behaviour.

“Oh but he could have been joking around”, see, if he’s joking around, he’s still playing with hierarchy. He owes his hyungs respect, and if he’s gone and called Jimin “baby” even if as a joke, it’s because Jimin let him, or if he was opposed to it, Jimin would’ve scolded him immediately, and he didn’t.

IN FACT! Jimin didn’t even flinch. He didn’t react. Jimin reacted to it as naturally as the speed of which the pet name came out of Jungkook’s mouth. It was normal for both of them. The act itself is bold. What’s so difficult to understand?

“Oh, but he could’ve been talking to Taehyung!” 

Sorry but no, Jungkook wasn’t talking to Taehyung. Taehyung was right beside him, and when he spoke, he spoke louder and looked behind him - precisely at where Jimin was standing - to speak. If he was speaking to Taehyung, he wouldn’t need to look behind him, to where Jimin was. He would plainly and simply look beside him, where Taehyung was, which was much simpler and easier to do. Also, it was Jimin who was ‘holding them back’ because he was the one taking pictures and taking his time when both Jungkook and Taehyung were already ready to go. So, yes, he talked to Jimin.

And I can’t believe I’m saying this, but no, he was not talking to or about the ocean. I mean??? Do I even need to go there? Yeah, I thought so.

Thing is: Why is it so hard for some people to just accept the fact that Jungkook acts in a certain way with Jimin that:

- Is uncommon in between boys in Korea;

- Is uncommon when HE is the youngest in the pair. Jungkook is the maknae, he is Jimin’s dongsaeng. Jungkook is in (technically) a lower position in relation to Jimin. 

Jimin doting on Jungkook, or any of the hyungs really, is common behaviour because Jungkook is the baby, he is the youngest. They will dote on him.

But the fact that some of the shit Junkook says (like speaking informally, calling Jimin princess, manggaetteok, baby) is not normal for the YOUNGEST to say/call/tell to his ELDER, and that is what is so telling.

It’s not the pet names themselves, it’s the fact that they’ve acquired such intimacy and comfort with each other that Jimin lets him do it and get away with it. And not only that, but Jimin is also comfortable with it. If he wasn’t so, he would’ve stopped Jungkook a long time ago. 

So really, the main point here is: the things that Jungkook does to Jimin, he doesn’t do to any of his other hyungs, and the things he does to Jimin, they’re uncommon. It’s a breach in hierarchy, and this is what’s shocking and this, per se, is what speaks so loud about their dynamics and relationship. They’re close. Maybe the closest in the band, and no one can deny it.

I’m not making any assumptions in here, see? I’m just plainly stating facts. For Jungkook to be able to do such thing is because Jimin lets him. And for Jimin to let him, it’s because they’re close. End point.

I have no idea if they are dating or not, I don’t even feel comfortable saying it, this is not even what this post is about.

What I’m trying to say here and I’m rambling is just that I don’t get people being so salty and annoying over facts and why people keep trying to deny facts. They are close. Jikook are close, and that’s it. Just get over it. 

Even if as a joke, even if as a quote, it’s still the dongsaeng calling his hyung baby. It’s the act. It’s the dynamics. @satellite-jeon has spoken about this so many times now, and she explained it well enough in her last post. 

So, please. I’m not trying to prove shit with this, I’m just trying to say that Jimin and Jungkook have a special relationship. Be it platonic, be it romantic, be it professional, be it whatever. They have something special. 

They don’t act like brothers to me either anon (whether they are or not). I really feel like there is something going on with Jimin and Kook that runs deeper than just brotherly relations too. I can’t say we’re 100% right but I definitely can’t dismiss the thought. Now I’m not Korean either, but this blog ( @satellite-jeon ) gives you a Korean perspective on them. She does insightful analyses of them from that standpoint, so check her out. I think it’s safe to say that the K-shippers think they have a special relationship too. They blur the lines of typical “hyung-dongsaeng” relations. I mean just looking at Jimin’s behavior, reactions, interactions and just the things he says to and about Jungkook implies otherwise. (Allow me to have a small rant here lol)

1. He says things like: He wants to go on dates with Jungkook. He teases JK with lines like “Do you like hyung that much?” and “Are you happy because of me?”. He asks Jungkook for kisses/tried to kiss him. Once when they were at a photoshoot, he asked Jungkook to bear his children. Now he said this as a joke but really is this the kind of jokes you say to your brother?

2. He uploaded a tweet of them on Valentine’s Day. I’m pretty sure he knows what the day is. Does he expect others to see them as brotherly when he does this? Do brothers do that? He could’ve just uploaded the vid on another day that doesn’t even remotely imply couple. (I’m probably overthinking this one but Jimin is a sly person so blame him lol)

3. He doesn’t tell Jungkook to stop, like seriously and legitimately stop. He only encourages JK’s behavior. And we all know how JK behaves when it comes to Jimin. He let’s him manhandle him. He let’s him intimately hold on to his waist and sway in a back hug. He leans into it. He knows that he can make Jungkook flustered, make him blush or react and he acts on it.

4. He said Jungkook was his. In Run ep.15, when Hobi was talking about JK seeing him in the shower, he was not amused. In fact he got up and redirected the spotlight on him and JK, implying that JK uses his toothbrush. He eyes down fans who interact with JK a little too intimately for his liking. Do brothers show this kind of jealousy?

5. How he watches JK with intense looks (like in the vehicle after JK’s graduation). He checks him out.He shares heated intense stares with JK.I didn’t know brothers lick their lips and watch the other with hooded eyes. Who watches their brother like this? Do brothers have tension filled moments? I mean ain’t this a nice brotherly moment. This is definitely how you carry out an apologetic gesture with your brother. (Jin’s reaction reeeally verified that.) 😑

6. Let’s not even talk about those fan accounts from Japan or even their recent 21st CG actions because I’m pretty sure they could’ve behaved more brotherly. 

Now I really can’t say anything about any other ship other than Jungkook and Jimin’s because really and truly their dynamic was the only one that stood out to me when I got into BTS. So although I like the other ships in BTS, some romantic, others platonic, I can’t say I have as much of a strong feeling for any other ship being something more as I do with Jikook/Kookmin. 

Hello, Anonie! ♥ You made me smile so much with this what-you-like-about-Jikook confession! :))) I, too, love many different things about them, I probably couldn’t pick one. But I know exactly what you mean! We all make sometimes fun of him, insisting on that he’s not a child/immature. While it’s cute and funny sometimes it’s also real and it shows in his relationship to Jimin-hyung. And I think it’s beautiful, that against the maybe usual scenario of members, taking care of maknae and protecting him, Jungkook takes special care of Jimin and protects him (and thinks he’s cute and… …) <3 He’s doing it so naturally in last years my heart screams over him sometimes. Does your, too, Anonie? ^^ :D 

Anyway just few of my favorite moments showing mature Jungkook/Jungkook taking care of Jimin/protecting him came into my mind. There’s lot more, but…

His effort to protect Jimin showed on numerous occasions while walking at the airport. Even now he just won’t leave Jimin’s side and keeps him on the reach of the hand. Some time back he protected Jimin fully, not letting just the staff or managers to take care of it. When Jimin had an accident on the airport, while he almost fell/was pushed to the ground, Jungkook was his guardian for next travel. Or the time after Jimin fainted and Jungkook, once again, fully protected him in the best way he could, walking with him, protecting him from cameras slightly. 

I love the way he almost always waits for Jimin, whether it’s when they’re walking somewhere in MV shooting, or photoshoot, or on the awards, or after the concert/fansign, or just at rehearsals. He complains that Jimin is slow, but then he just waits anyway, because he won’t let him just walk around alone.

My heart exploded when I saw that on multiple occasions, while members were doing the “sandwich” thing, he lay on top of Jimin and as soon as others joined them, he stretched his arms around Jimin/supported his weight, so Jimin (and in this case TaeTae) won’t get hurt or suffocated. Like in 3rd Muster sadwich.

Also he cares for Jimin’s health and comfort, proving it, for instance, with giving him his jacket/hoodie (it happened more than once, I’m just using pictures of the most known one ^^)

It’s just the sweet things he does, because he cares about Jimin and his comfort and safety. I know this doesn’t explain even half of the things/vibes he gives about Jimin nowadays, but I (as you all know) love throwbacks and these are just sweet examples of Jungkook caring for Jimin very, very much.
