she didn’t have to do much. she could pick something up, and her arm would flex even in the slightest. the scattered tattoos littering her arms would glisten with sweat when she would come home from the gym. and whenever she would wrap her arms around you, you could feel the strength in them from just a gentle squeeze.

it made you insane.

though she never did these things to intentionally draw attention to her arms, she was well aware that she was getting it.

she caught everytime your eyes would roam down the length of her arms, caught in a daze from her doing the most simple things. she would be lying if she said she didn’t like it. it made her feel good. knowing that you liked it motivated her to go to the gym most days.

and today, was no different.

you had invited her to your apartment and asked her to help you rearrange some of your furniture. deep down, you knew what you were getting yourself into, but you did really need the help.

you told yourself to stay focused. yes, Vicky has great arms and they make you go quite literally insane and you invited her to lift shit around your apartment… but you could ignore how she looks. right?

wrong.

the moment she lifted an end your couch and pushed it to another angle, you couldnt pull your eyes away. in your mind you were being subtle, you always were subtle, never really acting on how much you liked her arms and what you wanted to do. but today might change that.

you strode over to her as she set the couch down. she turned in order to ask you whether you liked the positioning, but your hands slid up her arms, tracing her tattoos, catching her by surprise because you’ve never done this. she had honestly been waiting for the day you would actually do something, but your boldness shocked her.

“something on my arm?” she asked playfully, eyes trailing down your face to your lips.

you smiled, “no, they just look nice.” you said as if it were nothing. but her stomach flipped at the compliment.

suddenly, she picked you up by your waist, grinning like a mad man.

“finally you admit it!” she said excitedly yet teasing.

you rolled your eyes, “girl whatever.”

you glanced down to see her face and she was already looking at you. she inched a bit closer to your face, nose brushing yours slightly, eyes hooded and nothing but love behind them.

her lips pressed against yours gently, not rushed, not urgent, but sweet. intentional. and when she pulled away, she rested her forehead on yours.

you stayed there for a moment, just breathing her in. she smelled of coconut and salt, and somehow slightly peppery. you felt secure in her arms, she had been holding you for a good moment now and still held strong.

now as a writer I understand the burnout and life taking over, but I miss you loves and I hope you’re well!!! 😘

• ever since the day you got married to Victoria she promised to take care of you. and she truly hasn’t broken that promise

• since you were just girlfriends she would always propose the idea of you possibly stopping working and her being the provider. it took you a while to allow this, but after you got married (and extreme burnout from work), you accepted it.

• she would go on tour, be in the studio, go to interviews, etc. you would think this would mean that you would never see her. but it’s quite the opposite. she brought you almost everywhere with her, insisting that her wife be by her side.

so while she would do her job, you would stay with her. in interviews you would be behind the camera giving her support, when she would perform you would be backstage watching her, when she was in the studio you would be the first to hear songs.

• while traveling together, you would always take an extra day to enjoy the cities and towns you were in.

• constantly being in the spotlight and having to be such a social person, maria victoria very heavily values your quiet moments together. she could be so tired and need space from everyone but still want to be around you. if she didn’t wanna talk, you would just hold her close and play with her hair until she fell asleep. and when you did talk, (which was most nights) it was never overwhelming or uncomfortable. you would have deep conversations or even just conversations about your day and end up talking for hours.

• you are there for maria a lot, but it’s not like it isn’t reciprocal. Victoria is always there for you and will always check up on you because she knows how her job is overwhelming, even for someone on the sidelines. she never makes you feel obligated to do anything for her even though she is the main person paying the bills and providing. she doesn’t make you feel bad for it. she wants to do this, it’s her love language. it makes her feel good to know that she’s taking care of you.

• shopping trips go crazy. you see anything you like? it’s in the cart. no argument. you need anything? it’s already bought.

• on trips you cannot attend (as much as Victoria fights for you to be there), you never feel alone or neglected. she will call you every night and send food and gifts to the house. if you tell her you’re going somewhere, grocery store, out with friends, anywhere, she sends money.

you weren’t sure what brought it on. but you had been so busy that you didn’t realize the early signs. it wasn’t until you were practically bedridden that you actually realized the attack your immune system was under.

the sun shined too bright thru the closed curtains, making your head throb. you held your eyes, tucking your entire body beneath the sheets from head to toes.

you shivered, though your skin was burning hot and the only thing that could cool you down was the ceiling fan above you. your throat burned and felt rough anytime you swallowed, but it was as if your body was forcing you to swallow. your back ached along with the rest of your limbs.

you felt like you couldn’t move. barely could talk. you whimpered quietly, feeling completely helpless.

you cursed at yourself in your mind for ignoring the signs that you could’ve cared for so it wouldn’t get this bad.

you felt so heavy and gross that you just wanted to disappear.

“mami!” a voice echoed thru the house, your head throbbed slightly but the feeling of relief and hope overpowered it.

you groaned, hoping that she would hear you. and luckily she did. footsteps pattered on the floor and got louder and louder as she got closer. finally in the room she lifted the sheet off of your fatigued frame, expression dropping the moment she saw your flushed cheeks and sweat slicked skin.

“ay mi amor, que paso?” she asked, quickly leaning down to your level, hand coming to your forehead as you flinched at the extremely bright light.

you curled into a ball, hands pressing your head to soothe the headache. you didn’t really have to say anything for her to catch on. she tucks your hair behind your ear as she examines your state for a moment with worried eyes.

suddenly, she got up, no longer blocking any of the light which you winced at and turned away. her steps were urgent, rushing to the medicine cabinet and grabbing pain killers and fever breakers. she went to the kitchen to make some tea and start preparing soup.

her arms were full of medication and a warm mug. she walked over to you with ease, trying not to make too much noise and be as gentle as possible.

she set everything down and stroked your hair from behind, “mi amor, I have some things to help you feel better.” she said softly.

you slowly turned with a miserable expression on your face and your eyes met your now cluttered nightstand. you sighed and nodded, trying your best to sit up, which she also helped you to do so.

she held the mug of tea and handed you an assortment of tiny pills. you took them from her hand and placed them on your tongue, hands reaching for the mug, but she moved them, bringing the mug to your lips herself.

the hot liquid burned your tongue but soothed your throat, sending all the medication down and leaving you with hope to feel better.

Vicky set the mug down, eyes still trained on you, brows still furrowed like she was trying to analyze you and find the best way to help you.

“you need anything else right now mi amor?” she whispered, caressing your cheek.

you shook your head, curling into yourself again and pulling the sheet up.

she sighed, worried for you and not wanting to leave your side, but she knew that you would need food at some point. so she got up and headed toward the kitchen.

you had rested for a good few hours. you needed all the rest you could get and you were grateful that your girlfriend had taken so much care of you because you were already feeling better.

slowly, you peeled yourself off the bed, feet hitting the cool tiles and pushing up to go to the bathroom. you turned on the shower and set it on cold, since immeadiatly when you awoke you felt a wave of heat.

you stripped down and stepped in, allowing the cold droplets to cover your once sticky skin. you took a deep breath, remnants of aches still present and the feeling of sickness still lingering. but you could finally function.

once you were clean, you dried off and did some simple body care, before getting into comfortable yet breathable clothing. you stepped out of your bedroom that you had rotted in and went to see what Vicky was up to.

as you entered the kitchen, the aroma of soup and the sound of ‘ctrl’ by sza hummed quietly thru a small speaker Vicky owned. she was in her own element, singing along softly and moving her body to the beat as she stirred the pot. she had spent a lot of her time today taking care of you. and you couldnt be anymore grateful.

you took a moment to admire her, allowing her to have her time. but still approaching her when the time was right. you gently wrapped your arms around her waist, startling her for a moment, before relaxing into your touch.

“how are you feeling mi vida?”

“a little better.” you whispered.

she smiled at that, nodding and tasting the soup in front of her. “mm, youre gonna love this baby.” she said.

“ugh I don’t like soup.”

“I know, pero te gustará, confía en mí.” (~but youll like it, trust me) she said gesturing to the pot.

you rolled your eyes and sighed, allowing her to make a bowl for you. she grabbed a spoon and scooped some up for you, holding it to your lips.

you opened your mouth, letting her in as you watched her eyes as they focused intently on you, trying to spot any type of reaction.

that shit was actually good.

your eyes widened as you hummed a praise to her. her eyes lit up and she smiled brightly, “yeah?”

“yeah.” you said chuckling at her giddy expression.

the rest of the day consisted of her taking care of you and constantly asking if you were alright. she didn’t leave your side unless you asked (which you didn’t) and set up more nighttime meds for you even after you told her you could do it yourself. she insisted that you needed rest and that it made her feel good to take care of you.

tonight you were going to have fun. your friends decided to drag you out of the house where you stayed for days on end after work and refused to do anything outside of it. you were constantly tired from the back to back shifts you picked up and whenever you were able to go home, you stayed there. it’s a Friday night now and you have the weekend off.

you wore a tight black dress, some kitten heels and your hair down. your makeup was done and you felt good.

your heels clicked along the floor tiles as you stepped into the club, friends on either side of you. the air was humid and smelled of liquor, cheap perfume, and sweat. the lights were dim and the dance floor was full. you smiled, suddenly realizing how much you had missed this.

you strode over to the bar, resting your elbows on the table, and ordered (d/n). you sat down with your girls, talking about how one of them just broke up with her boyfriend. the 3 of you were encouraging her to loosen up and forget about him, (he cheated on her) and the best way to do so was to drink and dance with someone new.

only thing was, she wanted someone to come with her.

your friends insisted that you go because you needed to loosen up the most out of all of them due to your heavy load. you weren’t opposed to it, but you wanted to drink more before getting that far out into a crowd of people.

you ordered a few more drinks and talked a little more. and once the room was a little hotter and your words slurred a little more you decided to go onto dance.

your friend dragged you behind her, bodies coated in sweat dragged along yours and made your skin slick. the sour taste of alcohol stuck to your tongue, but showed in the messy nature of your hips swaying. and for a moment you felt hands brush your waist before fully clinging to it.

you assumed it was (f/n) so you pushed back into her and allowed yourself to collide with the body behind you a little more. your dress rode up more and more with each grind, knees bending and heels planting to the dance floor.

you weren’t sure how long you were doing this, you weren’t sure how another drink got in your hand, hell you weren’t even sure where you were anymore. you just swayed to the beat and allowed yourself to let go.

so when your girlfriend, maria victoria, grabbed your wrist and pulled you out of the club with your things in hand, you questioned what was really happening.

she didn’t say anything. like at all. just dragged you out and led you to the car. she opened the door for you and put you in. your brows furrowed, why was she so angry? what happened? what did you do?

she got into the car a moment after, turning it on and peeling out of the parking lot.

the car ride was completely quiet. you tried to make conversation snd talk to her but she only said one thing.

“at home.”

her tone was low, but dangerous. your stomach churned from the confusion and suspense.

when you arrived at the house she repeated her movements. getting you out of the car and dragging you inside.

“woah woah” you stumbled, losing balance but she forced you up again.

“¿qué coño estabas haciendo?” (~what the fuck were you doing?) she said, poison leaking thru her tone. she was mad. but you weren’t sure why.

“I was dancing. having a good time?” you said but it came out more sarcastic than you expected.

she scoffed, “just dancing? really?” she questioned with the same sarcasm, yet deeper.

you flinched at the way she spoke to you. she never had been so mean. you were just dancing with (f/n), so what mad her so angry?

“yeah, I was dancing with (f/n)!” you hiccuped and stomped in quite an embarrassing manner.

she chuckled darkly, stormy blue eyes boring into yours with a dangerous undertone. she looked as if she didn’t believe you. like you were messing with her. but you truly weren’t. but due to the state you were in, you didn’t understand or catch onto what was going on.

“that was not (f/n), that was some random bitch.” she said, inching closer to you. “tell me why, you go to the club to have un buen momento y desestresado. I’m at home, relaxing, but then I get a phone call from your friends saying that I need to come pick you up because you’re fucked up. digo que está bien, pero luego me detengo y te veo moliendo a alguna perra al azar? are you kidding me?” (~a moment to let go and de stress • I say okay, and then I pull up and see you grinding on some random bitch?)

it took you a moment to process, but it clicks. you never looked behind you to see who you were dancing on. you just assumed it was your friend. but so many people were around and were dancing together that of course some random grabbed your waist and started dancing with you.

your eyes immediately softened. she was jealous. sure the state she caught you in was quite infuriating. but it was endearing to see your girlfriend get so worked up over it.

you smiled, leaning closer to her face, getting into her space as she just did to you. “youre jealous?”

she blinked, staring at you for a moment before rolling her eyes.

“well… yeah. if I show up to help you and then suddenly I see you all over some girl then yes I’m gonna be upset.” she said, defending herself.

you nodded in understanding, hands resting on her waist and pulling her just inches away from your face.

“I know and im sorry baby. but I didn’t realize who was behind me. I thought it was (f/n) because she went out there with me. I would never dance on some random bitch, especialmente no delante de ti.” (~especially not in front of you.)

her cheeks were flushed, her eyes were wide. even in your drunken state you knew just how to bring her down.

suddenly, she closed the space between you. lips crashing against yours with urgency. her nose bumping into yours. her skin was hot beneath your hands. her body gravitated towards yours for more.

she backed you up until your legs hit the couch, leaning back until your back hit the cushion. she climbed on top of you, straddling your hips with her knees on either side of you.

you slipped your tongue out, licking her bottom lip, asking for entrance. she accepted with a groan.

your tongues slid against one another, exploring eachothers mouth. your hands rode up her body, threading into her hair to push her face down closer into yours.

her hips rolled onto you once, hinting what she wanted. you smirked against her lips.

but she pulled away, much to your confusion.

“tell me youre mine.” she said, voice barely a whisper. needy.

“I’m yours baby.” you said, staring into her eyes, hands coming to brush her cheek.

she shut her eyes for a moment, relaxing into your touch. she nodded, dipping back down to your face, but before connecting, “una vez más” (~one more time)
