i also find it really interesting how much he coddles Daki when they're demons, even despite the arguing at the end of the battle. he seems to baby her to a degree

one thing i do wonder about is why on earth ume's age was changed in kimetsu gakuen. she's one of the ONLY characters where it's concretely stated which age she was turned into a demon - age 13. (a fair amount of upper moons have general ages confirmed, but not concrete.) despite that, they made her 16 in kimegaku. maybe they did it so that gyuu and her would be in high school together? in kny, i think there's something like a 5-7 year age difference between them (going by how old gyutaro looks when ume is little, along with the fact his debt collector model refers to him as 青年 - 'young man'). on the topic of kimegaku, we were ROBBED of a gyaru ume. i really do think she'd be gyaru!!
