Mysticons Headcanons

SHARISE BRAVEOWL: She becomes Mysticon Alchemist. She is a 16-year old half-elf who is fairly aloof and reserved, but will do anything for a friend. She has an articulation disorder.

ARKAYNA; That no one like Gawayne ever rules Gemina again.

EM: For the mines in Rudick's Hollow to stay safe.

The Mysticons get a call from Queen Goodfey, saying that there have been Maurader sightings in a nearby town. She tells them to be careful, and Arkayna says that they'll be fine, as they faced Mauraders before.

As they're going to the town, Em notices Piper is more quiet. She asks if the crystal reminded the others of anything. Zarya thinks for a moment, then admits that after all their quests, it was the only

The Mysticons reach the town, and begin exploring. Piper says that the town seems familiar. They notice that several buildings are destroyed, and that while most people are hiding, anyone that they can see are elves. They find someone to ask, and he tells them about the Maurader attacks. Sharise asks if that happened before, and he says it happened a bit over a hundred years ago.

While the Mysticons are searching, the mauraders start attacking again. While they manage to chase off the Mauaders, they begin to suspect that the Mauraders will come back. In the chaos, Piper thinks she sees someone with the mauraders. She calls out, saying that she's going to investigate, but none of the other Mysticons hear her.

Piper goes, and sees Raylanna. When Piper asks what she's doing here, Rayanna says she was investigating the mauraders. She then asks Piper if she was there alone, and Piper says that the other Mysticons are with her. She looks, and sees that the other Mysticons are gone. She says she called out, but Raylanna reminds her that their hearing is better as elves, so in the chaos, the others may not have heard.

Meanwhile, the other Mysticons realize that Piper is missing. They frantically look for her, and eventually find her with Raylanna. Piper says that they have to protect the village, admitting that while she doesn't know why, the village feels familiar to her.

They go, and see the Mauraders. After a difficult fight, they manage to defeat the Mauraders, sealing them away again. Raylanna tells them to be careful, as the fact that there were multiple mauraders this time suggests that something could be causing them to go.

I did a poll about favourite Mysticon outfits. As usual, I will be analyzing the results.

There was a tie for first place. Both Ranger and Dragon Mage each got 35.7% of the votes. I found this interesting, because while the Ranger outfit is my favourite, the Dragon Mage outfit is my least favourite. For the Ranger outfit, not only is it my favourite colour, but I also think the cape is cool. The Dragon Mage outfit, on the other hand, is kind of boring in my opinion. I think it's because her normal outfit is a green outfit and white jacket, so seeing it while transformed doesn't impress me as much. While it is different, as her civilian form is a dress, it still doesn't feel special. It's not a bad outfit, but out of the four, the leader of the Mysticons get last place.

Striker was next, with 21.4% of the votes. While hers and Knight's outfit are very close in my opinion, I would have to say that I like Striker's outfit more. It fits Piper's personality, as it's fiery and looks like it suits a performer, yet is different than Piper's civilian outfit.

Knight was last, with 7.1% of the vote. As I said before, her outfit and Striker's are vey close in my opinion. Knight's outfit is cute, but mixes a cuteness and being tough, which is perfect for a magical girl show. I think the only reason it slightly loses to Striker is because Striker's outfit fits Piper specifically.

I mentioned a theory earlier about how I feel the Mysticons and OG Mysticons are related, and thought I'd revisit it.

A major piece of evidence I have is how the species match. For example, the original Dragon Mage is human, just like Arkayna. This doesn't confirm anything, as matching species doesn't necessarily mean being related. Still, it feels intentional that the species matches, especially since the gender of the Mysticons don't.

Another piece of evidence is that Queen Goodfey's family protects the dragon disk. Considering the Astromancers' involvement with the Mysticons, I would assume that the Astomancers would have the Dragon Disk. There might be some kind of reason, and the royal family being descendants of Mysticons would explain it.

There is one issue though. Imani Firewing looks completely different to Arkayna or Zarya. At first, I said it wasn't a big deal, as a long time passed. Roughly forty generations passed between the OG and original Mysticons (1000 years divided by 25, a number used to track generations), I would still say it's possible. However, unlike real humans, Imani is a character, so the writers had complete control of her design. If this were the case, then Imani would resemble one of the royal twins more.

ARKAYNA: She would have a plan for everything.

EM: She would be completely comfortable babysitting

ZARYA: She would be annoyed at first, but later enjoy it.

PIPER: She would have fun babysitting.

I did a post a while ago about what if Arkayna, Zarya, Em, and Piper weren't chosen as Mysticons. This made me wonder about Sharise.

Since it's been a bit, I'll give a quick summary about my previous post. Basically, Arkayna would become obsessed with saving her parents, and while Em would be supportive, it would strain the relationship. Meanwhile, Piper would want to save Choko alone, making Zarya worry if she can keep taking care of Piper.

I made various posts about how I think that the Gumlump infestation wasn't Piper's fault. I would like to expand this by saying that I believe the Gumlump infestation would have been worse if Piper didn't adopt Pudding.

There is a lot of magic in Drake City, and many of the technology used in the city relies on technology. So, if Pudding was allowed to be free in the city, he would have various things to feed on and duplicate. Because of this, even without Piper inadvertently feeding Pudding magic, Pudding would still have magic to eat and would multiply. As this would take place in a large city instead of contained in one building for a while, it would be more difficult to round up the gumlumps. Important infrastructure could also be affected.

Knowledge would also be impacted. Malvaron and Doug saw the gumlumps and told the Mysticons about them. If the gumlumps were in the city, they would likely be more spread out, so sightings could be sporadic. Also, as none of the Mysticons or Serena knew what gumlumps were, it's possible that the public doesn't. So, if they saw a Gumlump approaching something magical, they wouldn't know to keep it away from the magical object.

Zarya is playing a video game when Arkayna comes into the living room. Arkayna says that those types of games are pointless and that it's weird people choose to be scared. Zarya pauses her game and leaves to get a snack. Arkayna gets curious and plays the game. When she investigates an old game console in the game, thanks to the advice of an NPC, Arkayna gets sucked in.

A few minutes later, Zarya comes back, snack in hand. She sees the game is no longer paused and Arkayna left the living room. She accuses Arkayna of playing the game than getting scared. She sees Arkayna in the game, and promises to tell the others and that they'll figure it out. Arkayna isn't reacting and is focused on what's happening in the game, and Zarya doesn't know if it's because Arkayna blames her or if she can't hear.

Zarya calls the others, and they come quickly. Sharise asks Zarya where she bought the video game. She tells them, and while Zarya stays behind to figure out how to get back to the video game while the others go to the store.

Zarya is looking around, and she notices that Arkayna keeps going to the video game console in the game. Zarya at first thinks that that Arkayna is trying to get out, and that the player character is still in the game. She clicks on the in-game console, and is sucked in to.

With the others, they go to the store Zarya mentioned. Piper mentions what the game does, and the storeowner says it's not possible. He invites the Mysticons to try. Piper agrees, but as the point she gets to the video game NPC, she gets distracted. The storeowner tries to convince Piper to listen to the NPC, and Em realizes that it's a trick, as the storeowner would only care about proving innocence, not how well Piper plays on the game. They manage to stop the storeowener, preventing him from selling the game to anyone else.

Zarya arrives in the game, and Arkayna asks what she's doing here. Zarya says that she wants to help, and guesses that if they beat the game, they'd be able to escape. Arkayna admits that the game scares her, and Zarya promises that they'll get through it together.

Zarya and Arkayna reach the boss battle, which is a giant, terrifying monster. It's a close call, with Zarya becoming stuck and almost being defeated by the monster before Arkayna saves her. They manage to work together and defeat the monster.

5. The others reassuring Em after Eartha joined the Vexicons again in "Heart of Stone". I find myself watching that scene over and over, and it was nice to see the Mysticons and Em's parents reassuring her.

4. Dreadbane's sacrifice and the king and queen's revival in "Fear the Spectral Hand". It was beautiful and emotional.

3. Them getting their powers and turning Arkayna back to normal in "Edge of Two Morrows". It was such a beautiful scene.

2. The montage in "All Hail Necrafa". It was a beautifully done scene.

My previous post was supposed to be up today, but I accidentally scheduled it for yesterday and didn't notice until someone liked it, and I don't want to have three posts in a row in case new readers come to expect it. So, you got today's post early.

Note: This is purely the title itself. An episode I like may not have a title that makes the cut and vice versa.

5. "Skies of Fire". I just think it's a cool title.

4. "Star-Crossed Sisters". This title suits Arkayna and Proxima's situation at the time.

3. "Sisters in Arms". I like it, because it shows that the show would be. However, it's a bit lower on the list because it doesn't suit what it was yet.

2. "Mutiny Most Fowl". I like the pun, and it does mostly fit. However, the title makes it seem like it's about the mutiny itself, where it happened in the past, and just influenced the episode.

Both Arkayna and Sharise knew that the quest could have gone better. They got separated from the others, Sharise was nearly swept away by a strong current, and a fight with some strange creatures left Arkayna with an injured wrist.

"I hope the others are doing better than we are," Sharise said as she wrapped Arkayna's arm. She sighed. "Or that they were here. Em's better at first-aid than me."

"They better not be having a worse time," Arkayna says. "I'd hate to think what a worse time would be like."

Sharise finished taking care of Arkayna and sat down beside her. "You know, being a Mysticon is fun sometimes, but also hard."

"Yeah," Arkayna said. There was a pause. "Are you scared?"

Sharise looked away. "A little. What about you?"

"Terrified," Arkayna said.

"Does it ever get easier?" Sharise asked.

"A little," Arkayna said. "But I think being a Mysticon will always be a bit scary. I think that's a good thing, though."

"What do you mean?" Sharise asked, looking at Arkayna.

"If I stopped being scared, that means I forgot what at's stake," Arkayna said. "And I don't want to take Gemina and the team's safety for granted."

"I guess that makes sense," Sharise said. "So what do we do?"

ARKAYNA: She would be honest about it, but insist on going anyway.

EM: She would apologize for getting hurt.

ZARYA: She would try to hide it.

PIPER: She would tell the others, and whether or not she stopped would depend on the injury (if it directly makes the movement hard or not)

The first volume of the Mysticons comic books gave some information about the Mysticons' breakfast routines. While it could be canon, there are some things that suggest otherwise.

The first thing seen is that Malvaron occasionally makes breakfast, but it's rare. This is seen by how the others comment about Malvaron making breakfast, and suspect that there is something important Malvaron wants to say. This does fit the canon. While we only see the Mysticons eat cereal in the show, it's entirely possible that Malvaron would normally make pancakes if there was something important. Any exceptions I think about have explanations. While I would expect Malvaron to do so after Zarya left, either he was told at the same time as Em, or didn't think it was worth making pancakes to break the news to one person (Arkayna and Piper already knew).
