Mysticons Headcanons

SHARISE BRAVEOWL: She becomes Mysticon Alchemist. She is a 16-year old half-elf who is fairly aloof and reserved, but will do anything for a friend. She has an articulation disorder.

Note: This is a crossover based on my magical girl OCs, Witchbound. And yes, I know the characters in Witchbound are similar to the Mysticons. There are differences, like June being outdoorsy, but it's not touched on as much here due to time.

Queen Goodfey tells the Mysticons abut a mysterious portal that appeared, and they are still working on a way to close it. She asks the Mysticons to be careful, as she doesn't want them falling in as well. Arkayna promises to be careful, and they leave. As they're going to the portal, Piper asks if being careful means that she can't even peek her head inside the portal. Zarya says no.

They get to the portal location, and the only people there are some guards and a scientist. They explain that the portal has been here for a while, and while they were looking for a way to stop it, they can't. The guard also mentions that while objects fell into the portal, no one fell in. The Mysticons begin to investigate, and Em sees a small metal box right beside the portal. However, she begins to fall in, and when Arkayna tries to stop her, they both begin to fall in. Piper tries to catch them, but doesn't stop running in time and is sucked into the portal. Zarya tries to help with Sharise anchoring them, but they are sucked into the portal as well.

The portal is bright, making the Mysticons close their eyes. When they wake up, they notice that it's a park. Sharise notices the people first, and is surprised that there are only humans. Em notices the trees look different, and they realize that they're in another world. As they are walking, a strange monster attacks. The Mysticons transform and help defend the city, but are overwhelmed and surprised when spectres join. A group of witches in different outfits come, one purple, one green, , one orange, and one blue. Together, they defeat the monster and the spectres.

After the fight, a crow comes up. The witch in green says that his name is Corvin, and that he's a friend, then tells the crow how awesome the new friends seem The witch in purple casts a spell, allowing the Mysticons to talk to Corvin to. They all go to the Witches' hideout. The witches introduce themselves as Witchbound. The witches de-transform, revealing themselves to be normal girls. The one in purple is Amira, the one in orange is Skylar, the one in blue is Nicole, and the one in green is June. After talking about the enemies, they realize that villains from both worlds coordinated the attack.

As they're investigating, they learn more about each other. Em is trying to figure out how to get home when Nicole is standing nearby. Skylar suggests that Nicole helps, and tells Em that Nicole was shy for as long as she can remember. Zarya asks if Skylar and Nicole grew up together, and Nicole quietly reveals that they're cousins, but they haven't talked for years because their parents don't get along. Meanwhile, Amira is trying to plan for fighting the spectre creatures again, as she's not used to it. Arkayna suggests that they compare notes, as she doesn't know about the monster they fought. Meanwhile, June and Piper are comparing their different types of magic. Sharise mentions to Corvin that all Witchbound seem so different, and Corvin says that he could say the same about the Mysticons.

They eventually find a way to send the portal back to Gemina, and they go. However, both Tazma and a wizard, whom Amira calls Kylon, are waiting. A fight ensues, and the Mysticons and Witchbound work together. Eventually, Kylon flees. They fix the portal, and the Mysticons plan to take Tazma to the royal dungeon. Piper asks Witchbound if they want to see Gemina, but Corvin warns that too much use of the portal could destabilize it. The Mysticons head through the portal with Tazma.

While the Vexicons are the evil version of the Mysticons, there is one big difference. While the Mysticons do argue, they generally get along, but the Vexicons don't. While this could be simply seen as the typical villains not getting along, this could be because of how Proxima sees the Mysticons.

While there was a couple times where Proxima saw the Mysticons spending time with each other outside of missions, it wasn't often. Because of this, she may not know for sure how the Mysticons act when the Astromancers aren't around. Due to her hard feelings with the Mysticons, I can see her seeing them not get along. Or, even if she does know the Mysticons get along, perhaps she hopes they have a falling out.

This also is hinted by what the Vexicons are like. Mallory is bossy and selfish. While Arkayna isn't nowhere near as bad as Mallory, Proxima could view her like that if we don't get along. Kasha is loud and somewhat reckless, traits of Zarya that Proxima wouldn't like. And while Piper isn't part of the twin thing, she is chaotic and focuses on fun. The serious and academic Proxima wouldn't like that. As for Em and Eartha, perhaps Proxima thinks that Em is pressured to agree with the Mysticons. So, she made a Vexicon that wasn't entirely evil.

I have explored what would happen if other characters became the Mysticons' solon. However, I have never considered what role Aunt Yaga would have as a solon. As I was exploring this, I realized that she may still have Malvaron be the solon, but would take over as the supervisor (like how the Astromancers were).

She wouldn't become the solon right away. Malvaron saying that they need to make cake for Aunt Yaga to reverse Zarya's curse makes me believe Malvaron wasn't close to Aunt Yaga. I think she would become the solon at the end of episode 10, though the events leading to it would happen in episode 9. The Astromancers would refuse to work with the Mysticons after they made the knockoff dragon disk. Aunt Yaga would learn what happened in the next episode, and instead of going to Arizona, would stay and help the Mysticons. Malvaron would still be the solon.

The Astromancers would become more of an antagonistic force. The Mysticons wouldn't want to work with the Astromancers, and Nova Terron would treat them like traitors.

There is a chance that the Mysticons save the king and queen. The Astromancers only knew that they completed the codex because the Mysticons still answered to them. If not, the Astromancers would likely only know the codex was completed when Necrafa was released. Nova Terron would use Necrafa's release and the Mysticons turning against him to make it more convincing that the Mysticons were evil. However, the Mysticons would eventually prove that they're good.

The prophecy arc would be a big change. "Through my Enemy's Eyes" could be that Nova Terron told Aunt Yaga about the prophecy, and the Mysticons go. That would also reveal the royal twin idea, as Nova Terron could have revealed that to her as well. The animosity between the Mysticons and Astromancers would increase. They would only start to work together when Proxima is "revealed" as the twin. This is because Proxima sees Nova Terron as a father figure and would insist on his involvement. When Proxima leaves to go to Earth, most of the Mysticons would want to cut ties with the Astromancers again. Em would be the one to bridge the gap, saying that Nova Terron is trying to make things right, and that they promised Proxima that they would try to work with the Astromancers.

There is one problem with this idea. Aunt Yaga is a minor demi-goddess, so she might be overpowered as a supervisor. Because of this, I would have to explain why she's not solving the problems.

ARKAYNA: She would have everything planned.

EM: She would research the area's history.

ZARYA: She would just be glad to have some time to relax, and may not be interested in Arkayna's schedule.

PIPER: She would be so excited to go, and would be the most likely to forget something.

Since it's Canada Day, and characters went to Earth, I thought I would change the scenes to be in Canadian settings.

The only place that was specifically mentioned on Earth is Arizona, as that's where Aunt Yaga said she was going at the end of "A Walk In the Park". One idea would be the matching it. While there is a semi-arid desert in British Columbia, the Okanagan Desert in Osoyoos. However, the audience may not be familiar with it. Thinking about it, there's not much reason why it has to be somewhere like Arizona. The Great Lakes would be a good place for her. It sounds like a place Aunt Yaga would want to visit. And I remember learning about the Great Lakes in school, so it would be relevant.

We don't have to just stick with one location in Canada. Aunt Yaga's an astral traveler, so I'm sure that she can get across even the 2nd largest county (by land size), quite easily. As there's a scene where she holds up traffic while on the phone with Malvaron, that could happen in a large city. We have the Great Lakes in Ontario already, so I would rather not have this take place in Toronto. Vancouver could be a good choice.

I was thinking about how Proxima would probably be a good mentor to the Mysticons if the series continued. For this, I will be comparing her to Nova Terron and Malvaron, the two other people I see as being mentors to the Mysticons (I know Tazma was the Solon, but I don't think I need to explain why Proxima would be a better mentor than a villain).

What I like about Proxima is that she is a balance of Nova Terron and Malvaron. Malvaron is laid back, and sometimes doesn't take his responsibilities as a Solon seriously. An example of this is how he was late for a meeting between the Mysticons and Astromancers due to a video game. On the other hand, Nova Terron can be serious, but is sometimes strict, punishing the Mysticons and Malvaron for failure. Proxima would be in-between the two. She would take her role seriously, but would be someone the Mysticons feel comfortable approaching, even if it's because of a mistake.

How she handles mistakes is probably her strongest trait as a mentor. She knows what it's like to make mistakes and to have regrets, as she did put on the mask. Because of this, she would work with the Mysticons when things go wrong or they make a mistake. However, I imagine she would still have lines that, if crossed, would earn a lecture. She values family, and especially if she sees the Mysticons as family, would not want them to put themselves or each other in excess harm and/or carelessness affecting one of them. For example, if they were to retreat but leave an artifact behind, that's disappointing but manageable. However, if the Mysticons were to not notice one of them is still trappped, the others would get a lecture about not paying attention to the team.

Her intelligence is also a benefit. With her interest in academics, she would know things that might help the Mysticons. While Malvaron does have some knowledge, Proxima's would likely be greater, and if she doesn't know, she'd have a better idea on where to find the answers.

I have a feeling that the Mysticons and Proxima would work well together to. She would listen to the Mysticons and work with them instead of strictly giving orders. Because of this, and how the only time they would get a lecture is if one or more of them was put in an unsafe situation or treated poorly, intentional or not, there would be less conflict. The Mysticons care for each other, so they would understand where Proxima is coming from. Meanwhile, Proxima did join them on a quest before, so she would know what being a Mysticon is like (chaotic fights, how quickly things change, etc). So, she would give advice that would suit the reality of being a Mysticon.

A major drawback is age. I imagine a mentor as someone older than those under them, and Proxima is the same age as the Mysticons. However, Malvaron may not be that much older than the Mysticons, as he dates Arkayna and asks like a teenager. Because of this, the age may be a problem, but not a huge thing.

Zarya and Em are on a double date with Kitty and Kasey at Sky Pies. Em says that she wishes they could stay longer, as there's a Questica Knightly convention. Kitty says that they would, but there's something important they have to do. Zarya notices that they seem serious and is about to ask if everything is OK, but before she can, a witch attacks. They are forced to flee, and led to a forest.

As they walk farther in the forest, they realize that they're lost. At first, they think that the witch simply led them in a spot in the forest where it's easy to lose their way. However, when Kitty puts her necklace around a tree branch to mark that they've been there before, they keep walking, and eventually find the necklace again. Realizing that the witch put a curse on the forest, Zarya calls the other Mysticons for help.

While waiting for the others, they talk about what happened. Kasey reveals that the witch stole a crystal from a village, and they stole it back to return it from the village. A shadow attacks, and they are separated from the others, with Kitty and Zarya going one way and Kasey and Em going the other way.

Zarya and Kitty are quiet while they are looking for Em and Kasey. Kitty eventually admits that she feels guilty about the mission, as her choice to steal the crystal back put the Pink Skulls in danger. Zarya says that she knows how she feels, as she feels bad about calling the Mysticons for help, as they might be in danger to. They agree that they both have to trust their teams.

Meanwhile, Kasey and Em are making their way through the forest, but are scared. Kasey admits that the witch scares him, and Em admits that she's scared they won't escape the forest or find the others. They tell themselves that they have to keep going, thinking of their friends and family resting for them.

Eventually, the four of them are reunited. They decide that they have to figure out where the other Mysticons will enter the forest from. They hear a noise and go towards it, thinking that's the Mysticons.

Before they can reach the Mysticons, shadow creatures begin attacking. More seem to keep coming, and they eventually get overwhelmed. Things get even worse when the witch arrives. The Mysticons and other Pink Skulls come, and they do manage to defeat the witch, turning the forest back to normal.

Most magical girl shows have a cute mascot. While some are better than others, I think Choko is amazing.

Most mascots either serve as mentors (e.g. Luna from Sailor Moon), feel like they're just there for comic relief (e.g. Kiko from Winx Club), or who's main purpose is leading them to the plot (e.g. Pochitan from Star Detective Precure). Choko is different. He has funny moments, but can also help with simple things on missions. He makes mistakes for humour, but still feels like a valuable member of the team.

Choko being a foz is also nice. In Gemina, it appears that Foz seem to be occasionally treated as pests. Being with Zarya and Piper, and the others later on, he ends up with six people who love him (the Mysticons, Malvaron, and Doug).

Choko also helps with the idea of them bonding. The show starts of with Arkayna and Em having one type of life (I'll call the "royal life" to discuss this") and Zarya and Piper being from the Undercity (I'll call the "undercity life" to discuss this). As they live under the palace, there is something the Mysticons have from the royal life. So, by having Choko from the undercity, the undercity life is there to. So, the Mysticons have something that represents the royal life and the undercity.

As I'm getting into the game Beyblade X, I thought I'd pick what types of beyblades (attack, defense, balance, and stamina), they'd use.

ARKAYNA: Balance type

ZARYA: Attack type

EM: Stamina type

PIPER: Attack type

(Keep the shadow fan series in mind because it details them quite well, and Shadows off and good days between hospital surgeries and appointments)

Note: There is a lot of information in the fan season, so I don't think I can discuss everything.

I think the Mysticons would react differently to Shadow's Health needs. Piper and Em would still fully accept Shadow as a Mysticon right away, but Arkayna and Zarya would be unsure. It wouldn't be out of judgment, but rather out of concern. Being a Mysticon is physically demanding, and they wouldn't want Mysticon business to make Shadow worse. However, eventually, they would fully accept Shadow as a Mysticon. Even at the start, all of the Mysticons would care about Shadow, helping her with anything she needs and being understanding about surgeries and appointments. For example, you mentioned in part 11 that Shadow needs light foods for a few days after surgery. The Mysticons will keep that in mind, ensuring that there is food that Shadow can have after surgery in the stronghold.

You introduced Dante, Shadow's brother. I think he would play an interesting role. He would worry about Shadow being a Mysticon, as just like Arkayna and Zarya, he would worry about it being too much for her. Seeing Shadow with the Mysticons would be an adjustment to. He is used to having to care so much about Shadow, so while he'd be happy that other people care to, there might be a bit of an adjustment with not being the only one caring for Shadow. It can be especially true with Arkayna and Em, as I think they would take more of the lead in taking care of Shadow (between the Mysticons). However, he would end up becoming friends with the Mysticons, and being available for them if they need it, even without Shadow. You also mentioned that Dante often goes with Shadow when she hangs out with the Mysticons in case she needs to take her to the doctor (part 9). I think he would at the start, and while he would continue to spend time with her, he would accept the Mysticons being with Shadow without him, provided all the Mysticons have his phone number and know what symptoms to look for. This idea is further supported in your story, as in part 14, Dante isn't there when they go out for slush gulpies.

Another thing you mentioned is that Shadow stays at the Academy and takes classes there, as mentioned in part 13. This is interesting, as Dante goes to the Academy to, and might want Shadow to stay there when not at the hospital. However, you also mentioned Shadow spending nights at the stronghold. I have a feeling that as Shadow's condition and Dante's trust in the Mysticons improves, Shadow will stay at the Stronghold more and more. There would be a room in the stronghold for her.

Another thing you mentioned in part 8 is Shadow's illness improving. This is important, as how bad the illness is would dictate her role in the series. If her illness is bad, she may have to spend more time resting and/or in the hospital. Because of this, the four main Mysticons will handle a lot of the missions. As her condition improves, she joins in on more training and missions.

They would also ensure that she has mounts once she's well enough to participate in missions. The griffin would come from the royal stables, while the dragon would come from a visit with the Dragons of Light.

You ride your griffin to the Library of the Eternal Equinox. The other Mysticons are there beside you.

"This is fabtacular!" Piper said. "You'll get a library card to the biggest, fanciest library in all of Gemina!"

Zarya smiled. "Saving the library has some perks. Every Mysticon can now have one, which includes you."

"There are so many books there," Em said. "I'm sure you'll find something you like."

"There is one thing about the librarian, Snellson," Arkayna said. "He can be strict, and calls all his rules rule number one. And don't mention he already said rule number one, since he has a rule about not contradicting him."

You reach the library, and after Arkayna swipes her library card, you get in the library. There's a giant snail writing in a book.

"We have a new Mysticon," Em said.

"I'm almost done the chapter I'm writing," Snellson said. "Pick a book you want, then I'll get a library card set up for you when you come back."

You look at the library, and just how big it is.

"Don't worry," Piper said. "We can help you find what you want."

I was thinking about whether or not Arkayna and Em would give the Dragon Disk to Zarya and Piper if they knew about Choko and the plan to duplicate the disk.

I don't think Arkayna would. She does not know Zarya or Piper at this point, and didn't seem to care about Choko. Between that and how important protecting the Dragon Disk is to her, I doubt she would have given it (though I have no doubt that if she went back in time, she would).

Em would be harder to predict. She's loyal to Arkayna, and knows how much the Dragon Disk means to her. She also knows how guilty Arkayna feels for not saving her parents, and losing the Dragon Disk would be worse. However, she would also want to save the foz, and after hearing the plan, would think it makes sense.

In the end, I think Em would be too loyal to Arkayna to give up the Dragon Disk. However, she would feel guilty about it, and would side with Zarya and Piper sometimes in early arguments, trying to get everyone to get along.
