Hi, I just read 1 of your replies on a post on the benflavio tag, "Besides the rpf there's something going on between these two… Not sure what it is but there's definetely some tension and I'm not convinced it's about tennis." and I totally agree!! I mean I know they both have girlfriends but their interactions are so… interesting… all phases of their friendship (including the toronto fight), I don't know I see a difference compared to other friendship between tennis players

HELLOOO! Yesss, and I wrote all this before what we witnessed in Halle a few weeks ago 😅! The dynamics between them are something I cannot see in any other pair of players, it's so intriguing...

Before Halle (who am I kidding, even after Halle) I would have bet that the reason why they were on the outs was because Ben wanted more from Flavio, like a friendship a little more deep and exclusive, something similar to what Flavio has with Edoardo Bove... The legendary Toronto fight looked like a jealousy outburst, with Ben saying several times "but we're friends, no?"; he seemed to me he expected more from Flavio than what he got.

Then Flavio probably was pissed and tried to put a distance because he was not sure what Ben wanted... Then fast forward to that soccer date, the Munich final and then the doubles. I've never seen Ben so happy as when in court with Flavio, like literally a puppy. But I was also surprised to see Flavio so indulging with him, and looking at him as well with so much affection.

I do think there's still gonna be angsty moments between them, but it warms my heart to think they have a genuine fondness for each other. Ben is gonna have to fight half of the tour now that Flavio seems so beloved by everybody 😂 but it seems Flavio chose Ben as well, and he made sure to express that loudly (those 10-something IG stories with Ben were crazy).

And no matter what happens in the future, we'll always have Halle 2026😉.

Wait your explanation makes so much sense. Ben clearly values deep connections with people, and maybe he felt like he wasn’t getting enough attention from Flavio. Flavio is definitely the popular guy that everyone wants attention from, so he’s forced to split it between others. Ben seemed thrilled to have so much attention at Halle and could even be seen looking for eye contact and affirmations from Flavio. It’s very cute and I like that you said he was indulging Ben. He gave him the attention he ordered and we love that 🤭 they definitely have a unique relationship and I’d definitely want to hear more about it. If only…

LOL and don't let me go into RPF territory with the fact that Ben got himself a soccer player GF (very interesting coincidence) and then divorce era started...

It's so funny how soccer is a big part of their lore, with Flavio being an ex soccer player, Flavio BFF being an active soccer player, Ben getting himself a famous soccer player GF, Ben trying to bond with Flavio over soccer dates and FIFA videogames (I guess), Ben trying to learn to juggling a soccer ball...

And I know Ben always looks like he's the one starstrucked when he's with Flavio and Flavio looks kind of oblivious, but that's really not it, as Flavio KNOWS what he's doing to him and knows really well how to be charming, being bossy and cute at the same time 😉. And after Halle I've got proof he enjoys this kind of power over Ben as much as Ben loves being cuddled by Flavio's attentions.

Can't wait for the next chapters in their story 🥰🥰🥰 (Laver Cup, ATP Finals and with them who knows what else 🤪😎)

Ok, the guy who posted this reel was doing a sort of crossover with the soccer World Cup going on now, and wrote "If juggling skills translated into football points, these three might already have their nations through to the knockout stage." He had the nerve to write that, put Carlos and Flavio high level juggling skills and then put Ben in the end where he looks as a 5 years old doing his first attempts at it. It's freaking hilarious.
